of course I am not talking about benchmarking of screamyx 1mbps.

I am talking about the wifi speed. The speed you get betwn ur TP and AP.
See what is the sustained speed if you transfer huge chunk of data to your TP via wifi.

how abt the ips screen?? and the camera quality?
*
Yup it's IPS alright. Really wide viewing angle.
Tested the camera.
Now with ICS you can touch to focus.
It snaps right away with little lag.

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Jan 14 2012, 10:19 PM)
how is the screen compare to ipad 2? h-ips ?
*
The screen is the same as iPad2 as it uses the same IPS technology.
The difference is the TP has Super IPS+ boosting the brightness for outdoor reading.

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Jan 14 2012, 10:32 PM)
The way the test on wifi is wrong.SG ppl using high speed broadband with 20mbps compare to stremyx 1mb.
If you wanted to test wifi , try using a wireless N band and transfer a large file and doing a wifi benchmark on it.

1mb , you can hardly see the difference = 100kb.Range , the further the range the lower the signal the lower the speed.
*
True we can't compare the real benchmark test as people did in US or SG. shocking.gif
At least we can still connect it to the internet.
I'd even downloaded the ICS update using poor streamyx with no problem.
There's nothing to worry about with wifi atm.
How about you cyruz13?

A friend of mine who's using Unifi 20MB said he had no wifi problem so far and the strength was acceptable with no much difference (probably compared to his Galaxy S2) everywhere inside his house.

I hope this translates to future Prime. I might get one if no one complaints about it.

I'm not trying to be finicky about the display.
It's one of the best in the market.
And even in Super IPS+ mode, no detail is lost even the brightness gets high.
Although the auto setting is not that accurate, better leave it to manual.

The photos are crisp for an 8 MP shooter.
No pixel is lost if you try to zoom in the photos taken.
For me, it's way up to the standard for a tablet.
No other tablet goes beyond 8 MP than the TP.
If you find the pics are not that good, an easy template to edit is there thanks to ICS. nod.gif

LOL, can please upload a sample pic? 100% crop should be alright. thumbup.gif
I agree with you, so far TP is consider the best tablet ady.. Im still thinking when to buy, not sure which store in KL / PJ got stock..

My concern is the connectivity of the tablet only. Read some negative reviews about the wifi..

thats where portable powerbank come to the rescue. can charge our device on the go.

I get what you mean, but to be honest, it is no fun buying an ultraportable tablet, only to carry along a mobile charger to charge your phone that you need as 3G source.

I mean, I get why people that need/want to be online 24/7 do not opt for that...

This is a 100% crop according to http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=44363
I'm not into DSLR, but I hope this is the one you requested.
The actual picture is an imitation of a fruit basket inside my house (indoor).

After full-charge for the first time, I'd finally paired them together.

My Prime showing some ICS love~ icon_idea.gif
The back is my 5-year old acer notebook testing out the wifi at the same distance.

The Champagne Gold at natural light.
Looks more gold in yellow light also, but not at full white light.

Picture taken from my OG SE K770i.

From my early experience:
1. Hear a click to assemble the adapter, making sure the bottom of the power plug aligns with the USB charger.
2. Use a paper clip to take the rubber stopper from the tab, push it all the way inside the hole outwards and pull.
3. Cup your right hand to gain full exp of the speaker.
4. Manage to get 2-3 out of 4 bars wifi in my room upstairs. Router is at the stairs as many houses in Malaysia.
We don't have any basements like in the US who are having problems.
Browsing is no problem, but not so smooth when streaming content compared to my notebook.

At the end of the day, it's all about the overall user experience.
I'm not into youtubing, so streaming is not of my concern.
I download music and videos directly from the internet using my notebook.
Then if I want to view it in the tab, I'll transfer it first to the micro SD card.
That's why external storage is an important feature.

Hope you all are still hyped on the TP! wink.gif

Actually I've been wanting to ask this. Is the trackpad very useful for this TP?

I never own a single tablet or any Android smartphone, so I'm curious how the trackpad and keyboard works within the Android ecosystem. I'm planning to get one tablet soon and this tablet really caught my attention.

The trackpad works like any notebook, but it's pretty sensitive.
The best place of using the trackpad is when you want to highlight something, eg. for copy and paste.
A normal finger seems hard to point the cursor directly where you want it to be.
But a trackpad helps alot.

I got mine from the Asus dealer in Skudai Parade, JB.
cyruz13 got his from QB Mall in Penang.
Any other early adopters?
