QUOTE(Hianz @ Jan 13 2012, 12:45 PM) yes, from US store with US priceQUOTE(Hico @ Jan 13 2012, 01:00 PM) thats quite a good price.. is NORMAL price in US and its more exp in other countries...i look thru asus singapore's fb.. quite a lot of complaint abt the hardware issue .. wifi weak. random reboot, light bleed etc.. still the same like first generation if i stay in US,i can save $50 of postage fee but oh well, still cheap and cant complain much. so basically i only paid around RM1600 just for the tablet... |

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Jan 13 2012, 11:28 AM) ASUS promised a lot of things la. yes..but look at the price..if lets say rm2.2k is true..compare to the latest tablet from other, it got better processor, better camera, slim and attractive design, more port on the body, extra battery on keyboad, and keyboad. but cons will be gps problem, light bleed, and no super amoled + but still ips panel is quite good already, no 3g, and stock availbility. really hard decision..When the TF101 came out, they assured that the dock could be used for future iterations of the tablet. ROFL... looking back, it was just a load of BS. Added on January 13, 2012, 12:12 pm QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jan 13 2012, 12:02 PM) yes, from US store with US price your price is very attractive in fact..and asus got international warranty also..so basically still quite a bargain.. i am waiting to see more feedback from more users before giving asus a chance.. the spec especially quad core is still a very big attraction to me.. at least can last for a bit longer compare to buying dual core tablet now..is NORMAL price in US and its more exp in other countries... if i stay in US,i can save $50 of postage fee but oh well, still cheap and cant complain much. so basically i only paid around RM1600 just for the tablet... Well, for me i also include after sales support.
I am not in a rush to buy a tablet, but I really need 3G support. A modem+portable router will cost around 300RM. So I rather pay Rm300 more for the convenience. But for me camera isn't important Size, screen dimension/size, weight, battery life, 3G and good RMA system is more important. |

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Jan 13 2012, 12:12 PM) Well, for me i also include after sales support. agree with u, when bad luck and get a defeat product, that will be a big headache.. I am not in a rush to buy a tablet, but I really need 3G support. A modem+portable router will cost around 300RM. So I rather pay Rm300 more for the convenience. But for me camera isn't important Size, screen dimension/size, weight, battery life, 3G and good RMA system is more important. actually like u say size and screen dimension is like interconnected.. if prefer bigger screen then have to get bigger size, if get smaller size mean smaller screen.. i used to have a 7 inch tab before..cannot deny it is a very good companion when on the go.. portable, still pocketable and small ... but when sit down at home, bigger screen will got its advantage... the best is each size of tablet get one then can use for different situation..(just joke) ..anyway, one must really think carefully what is his main usage before get one..thats what i am headache now..i own a 5 inch note already...so either 7 inch or 10 inch is fine to me..basically i will only use it when i am outstation or when travelling or at home..i will always carry a bag with me in those occasion..but of cos, extra size mean more weight too.. Not really, because surrounding the screen is the bezel.
If you keep it same size but reduce the bezel it's better. Same size for bigger screen. ^^ While I am not looking for edge to edge screen, but I think I can afford 1.5cm bezel width. Just enough for my thumb to balance. Although most of the time I realise I won't even use it and palm the whole back of the tablet. |

Not necessarily, because example the tab 8.9 vs 10.1, almost identical innards but smaller package. Of course bigger package , engineering design is less constraining.

The extra large bezel of transformerS are likely due to the design of the transformer itself. They want the tablet to match the keyboard width. Then u might ask, why not shrink the keyboard, yes they can but it will not be as comfortable anymore
