Just updated my prime to ICS. Everything feels snappier now, noticeably faster when browsing ebooks and pictures. GPS still sucks.

My conclusion: Definitely a good buy if you don't care about GPS performance.

no worry asus recently announce, they won't fix or do anything on the GPS other then removing it out from description and unhappy consumer can return the unit without question ask ....

Is not the best solution but already better compare with other's company (my previous GalaxyS with GPS issue and samsung don't even bother to do anything on it ....)

I think the GPS performance did improve a little bit. That screenshot was captured indoor, I tried moving it around my room, and did get some weak signals near the window.

I'm definitely more interested in this more than the TFP201 drool.gif

body seems to be plastic..... so GPS should be OK. Here's hoping it'll use a minimum dual core and tegra3, if yes then i'll get this one biggrin.gif

more than half the body is made of brushed aluminium so it can attach with the aluminium dock.
the top brown bar is plastic, that's where the antenna, GPS and BT receiver is located.
that should solve the design flaw in the OG TP in theory.
you'll also get a high-res screen, a 2MP front camera and everything else is just the same.

IMO, buying the TP would suffice.
the price is more cheaper, and once this tablet had arrived, buy the tablet only.
this tablet could also dock with the same keyboard dock as the TP! icon_rolleyes.gif

Take a look at this:
http://androidcommunity.com/asus-memo-370t...ds-on-20120110/

Just announced yesterday by ASUS is the MeMO 370T although it may see a different name at launch. This 7-inch 1280 x 800 resolution slate features everything you’d want in a tablet. Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, the ultra-fast NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, front and rear cameras as well as full Android Market access and Google support. This is the first official 7″ ICS tablet. It may not be as thin as its larger brother in the Prime, but the size is the only thing making us call it the “little brother”.

The most important thing here is the price — and that is $249. We’d expect the slate to be slightly lower than the Prime in the camera department to meet that price but it actually still has that impressive 8 MP camera on back. The Prime has one of the best tablet cameras around so hopefully this wont disappoint.

The brushed aluminum has been replaced by a hard plastic with the same radial-spun design as the Prime and overall I was extremely happy with the feel and performance. Obviously with the Tegra 3 the tablet is blazing fast so I don’t even need to go there — although this is the first slate I’ve handled with a fully stable build of ICS. ASUS made clear that this was still under development but things felt ready for the green light to me. In case you didn’t catch that before — this is running on Android 4.0.3 ICS.

You can see in the image above the new 7-inch slate from ASUS will have micro-usb, micro-hdmi, and also a micro-SD slot for expanded storage — something many tablets lately have been leaving out. Offering this entire package and performance for the low price of $249 has just set the bar for portable and ultra-powerful tablets. Those high priced Samsung Galaxy Tab’s should be worried right about now. Expect to see this new quad-core tablets early Q2 2012.

Someone from XDA discovered that there were two hardware revision for ATP, 1 with wifi+bt problem n 1 without. They try to identify it through the serial no.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1439582

Now there're ppls from SG reported that got the ATP with the "bad" serial no. Some tested n found the wifi to be abnormally slow n signal would drop occasionally. This happened even Asus SG earlier reassured n confirmed that they are getting the "good" batch.

However, it's only happen if u on ur wifi n use the bluetooth at the same time. So, I suggest u guys to monitor the xda thread for the serial no. of "bad" ATP, so that u can check b4 hand over ur cash unless u don't need bluetooth at all.

Hope Asus is not dumping the bad batch to Asian countries bcos of high demand n high return rate.
