QUOTE(Johan-N @ Oct 20 2011, 10:20 AM) i'm lowering cause i'm hoping it will reduce the bodyroll and increase high speed stability yeah i'm planning on bigger wheels but not so huge la maybe 17inch? i did google 2jz prado yeah very very poisoning Added on October 21, 2011, 5:59 pmI've found a halfcut 1jz twin turbo for around rm3.5k only drawback is its Auto auto is good and if u want more torque at lower rpm, add a bit more and go for the 1jz vvti (auto). if u go manual, prepare to break your rear diff if your car is only RWD, i have seen a lot of hilux and pajero with broken rear diff with manual 1jz vvti, after changing to auto everything is fine, even one of the hilux which is NEW (owner is super rich) changed to this engine has a broken rear diff

Why do u need full time 4WD anyway? It is only for muddy terrain or areas with poor traction. For city roads, u may need it for flash floods.

i think so h2 is high speed 2 wheel drive(city/highway) h4 is high speed 4wd(city/highway) and l4 is low speed 4wd(4wd terrain@mud,hill climb,sand etc).
h4l is high speed but it also increase torque and dont use it on dry road only use on rainy day/flood or dusty road or muddy road.

Getting Started

Part time 4wd can use 4H offroad, but not on road. Part time 4wd does not hv centre diff unlike full time 4wd. Why not look for 1jz vvti auto since u r not going to run it offroad or anything. Autobox would be more comfortable. 1jz vvti has better low end torque

Depends on which 4x4 u driving. From your H4 n H4L example, it's only available in mitsu. That's fine if u running H4 on road, and H4L refers to locked centre diff where front n rear wheels will rotate at the same rate.
Others part time 4wd doesn't hv centre diff, eg. hilux, land cruiser n so on. U can't run 4H on road (not that u can't, but it's not advisable to prevent g/box damage, and it affect the agility of the car) cuz u don't hv a centre diff box.
Ninja n those land rover defender are full time 4x4, they hv centre diff which allows front n rear wheel to rotate at diff rate.

rb25dett?
or u meant rb26. Rb25 dont come with twins.
for prado, take 2jz better. You really need the extra half liter to pull the car away. Besides, toyota + toyota.
if wanna go V8, look for 1UZ 4.3liter v8. Its a toyota too.
