auto is good and if u want more torque at lower rpm, add a bit more and go for the 1jz vvti (auto). if u go manual, prepare to break your rear diff if your car is only RWD, i have seen a lot of hilux and pajero with broken rear diff with manual 1jz vvti, after changing to auto everything is fine, even one of the hilux which is NEW (owner is super rich) changed to this engine has a broken rear diff

correct, the low end torque of the vvti that's breaking the rear diff during hard acceleration, if u use the manual 1jz twin turbo shouldn't be a problem on the diff
