QUOTE(X10A Freedom @ Nov 21 2006, 08:27 PM) err, not cut away(if can do it without making a new mask, please tell me, i'll split the earnings with you Maybe i heard wrongly from halo, hahaha.just think of it as a FPGA but with lesser programmability p/s: oi, seems like u're damn free, no work to do? i'll answer y u go to Singapore instead of Penang coz Altera penang dun really focus much of their energy on FPGA i'm sure Halo is aware of this too Well, for CPU it is possible, but surely need a new mask. (think of the chopped cores and reduced L2 cache). If no nit new mask, i'll go up and find u to discuss our big profit business ady p/s: oi, I offwork at 4.30pm one la, i am OT-ing without $, must enjoy a bit to release tension one ma |

QUOTE(X10A Freedom @ Nov 22 2006, 07:41 AM) yup, structured asic is also like that Official offwork time is early, but the work always have to finish beyond working hours. You want meh? it's the mask tat really kills offwork so soon? damn, any vacancies at ur place? Hey, are u doing layout design there? Actually for big company like Intel and AMD, they still can bear the cost of masks. See how many steppings they produced? K8 alone has up to G step, and Core 2 already goes into G step now. Merom on Santa Rossa platform will be on E stepping (E1 in specific), imagine how many masks Intel is using |

QUOTE(lgh @ Nov 22 2006, 08:45 AM) the clock tree ????? he he he he Oh well, i think Freedom's job scope is not suppose to use FPGA to replace clock network use FPGAs. They have global clock nets and regional clock nets with minimum skew. I never need to think about them anymore. What's more, they have DCM and PLL inside the FPGA that allows me to deskew , re-synthesize the clock and so on. Wonderful stuff. |

Anybody likes to discuss GPU architecture here? I'm particularly interested in DX10 and Unified Shader

Hmm... maybe the latest G80 and the Xbox 360 graphic engine? I think opening a new thread in HW is pretty useless bcoz not many of them are interested also
So far I only read xbitlab's article on G80 architecture. cant fully understand thou |

QUOTE(8066 @ Dec 12 2006, 03:33 PM) @.@ my head's spinning seeing those circuit thing? Okay I'm not yet even starting any degree but I'm interested to know what does computer engineering studying? How about comouter science or IT? Am I asking this at the right place? hi, welcome!computer engineering study in depth about hardware, and also its relation with software. IT / comp science focus more on software and coding, and little on hardware. Besides, computer engineering graduate is a professional, whereas IT/comp science graduate is not. QUOTE(speedguy10 @ Dec 19 2006, 12:01 PM) Hi, Nice to meet you all. hi there, I'm graduated from the same place. I guess u r now in industrial training? Just jk sorry guys these days too bz, hardly have time in forum. Sorry if i havent update ur names into the list QUOTE Is there a mobile software u came across that is able to do peer to peer comunication with another nokia mobile device via IrDA I think the manufacturer should have their own software to support the data transfer. Not sure about Nokia, but my Samsung does have a software (which required extra $$) |
