if u like realistic handling (so far for console) & serious mp racing - go GT5

But frankly, all these points are moot if the rest of your friends are on GT5 and you're the only one on Forza 4.

For graphics, I'd say GT5 is better than Forza 3, but not Forza 4.

Answering TS question, here's my answer.

pick GT5 if you'd like a gigantic list of 1,000 cars. but the catch is,
- 148 are nissan
- 101 are honda
- 99 are mazda
- 93 are toyota
- 73 are mitsubishi
- and if you're a tree hugger, 3 Priuses are included too.
- got different class of cars being modeled by the developers, which are "Standard" and "Premium". Can't do much stuff on "Standard" cars, with generic dashboard across the hundreds cars (just introduced).
- damage is poorly rendered.
- online feature is meh.

pick Forza4 with only half the amount of cars on GT5, but,
- all cars are equally modeled. no distinction of "Standard" and "Premium" cars like gt5, hence it's better.
- sounded better than GT (but of course real-world is even better)
- graphics looks better, with improved lighting tech (image-based lighting).
- and if you're a tree hugger, 1 Prius is included.
- can't use logitech g27. need to pony up for the pricier Fanatec (albeit it's better made).
- got not much variety of weather effect.


btw if you got the money, buy both. These 2 games are very different games, hence the reason why you should own both.

physics wise, both got their own strength.

feature wise, GT5 got Photo Travel mode while Forza4 got AutoVista mode.

both got Tesla Roadster, so you can be the ultimate racing tree-hugger too.



But the ultimate bomb is, if you're looking to drive a Porsche then you can throw both games away.

cant comment on forza4 but from the looks and graphic it looks awesome. cant wait to try it someday.

To be honest gt5 is a bit of a letdown in someway (with all the hype and thousand of hours on production time)
and a great game in so many way ( realistic driving experience)
my real life driving knowledge/style/skills improve with GT12345.
if youre ON for simulator/real life type driving then GT is for you.

Btw between forza4 or gt5 its just a game....nothin more nothin less.

things about gt5
- yes i hate EA to becoz no latest 911/cayenne/panamerra in gt5!
- there is just to many japanese car same model different specs
(which the creator admit is a bit of a redundant after launching)
- there is no premium model for VEYRON!!!WTH
- some great tracks from gt4 were missing.
- needs updates for the game to run at its best.
- car sound were terrible and obnoxious (same as gt4321) i think
- car is not fully customizable (even rim were only for premium
car)WTF?? / performance MOD is same as gt1234 except no NOS
this time around
- car control is more realistic 1st time for GT to have drift and power
slide
- the game sometimes gets repetitive and bores you -always win with big margin ( meaning its time for lesser HP + normal tyres + off all driving aids)
- also for online play there is no way to beat a guy with the steering wheel(unless he really sucks). using DS3 is outdated @ this point of time for GT.

I dont play racing games on the xbox360 mainly because i cant find a wheel for sale to go with it!!

so, GT5 then.

I personally think that Forza sounds better than GT5 especially the Forza 4. But I will get GT5 because PS3 does support wider range of games compare to Xbox which is not enough of support in Malaysia. Unless, you just want to play one game, then you can pick Forza.
