super duper eassy root process!!! im rooted and now going for the new ROM just for G version!!

actually how many of you out there, successed in rooting i9100G 2.3.6 using the doomlord script method?

not me~! still waiting for solution ~! already sound to XDA ~

yeah..saw u there too..lols.. anyway if anyhow someone already come with the KJ2 original kernel so that i can use the 2nd method, maybe i will give it a go..but till now, waitin and waitin..

Great! I was successful in the root, install myGkernelv1.1.1 and install Juffo's cook rom on my phone (9100GDZKJ2).
I do the following steps:

Starting from 9100GDZKJ2 (not root)
1) Use file "Kernel_I9100GDZKI1.tar" flash by Odin (http://www.multiupload.com/RA91L1Y1JE).
2) Flash myGkernelv1.1.1 => the phone have root and CWM.
3) Use CWM to install Juffo's cook rom (if u want )

me i succeeded rooting my phone using the doomloard script... i used the V3 and edited the runme.bat file first as per first post. Run it, everything was smooth.... i did have to press enter twice tho... i dont have any screen shots...

First i had problems connecting my phone to laptop.... tried all sorts of things including driver installation and kies update ( install and uninstall and then reinstall )...... Came to a solution where u have to put in a code in ur fone which fixes ur USB connection.... waaaallaaa i was happy and i could do my back up...

Before i started doing the rooting process, i made sure that all KIeS processes all stopped like mentioned in this forum. Ran the runme.bat file, success... now im still waiting to flash a custom rom as i need to research a bit more

after some reading around, it is possible something like this :

1) for those already rooted with 1st method (doomlord), can u install the ktool from market and dump the kernel as zImage

2) as i understand, this will be like the stock kernel for 2.3.6

3) upload the kernel for further usage

if i am mistaken, do tell me

ps : still cant root my device with 1st method

Previously, my phone with firmware is I9100GDZKH5 (like you). I perform the following steps for my phone:
1) update firmware to DZKI1 (look the page 1 of this topic)
2) update firmware to DZKJ2:
a) download file http://www.multiupload.com/76EOEV1MD5
b) download file "9100G PIT" in page 1 of this topic
c) use Odin to flash 2 file at the time.
+ *.tar.md5 => "PDA" in Odin
+ PIT file use Odin in "PIT"
3) Use Odin to flash the file http://www.multiupload.com/RA91L1Y1JE
4) Use Odin to flash the file "myGkernelv1.1.1" => the phone have root and CWM.
5) Use CWM to install Juffo's rom.

any news for 2.3.6? i still cant root with doomlord. dont want to try old method coz dont want to loose anything T_T

mine 2.3.6...successful rooting via doomlord v3...

Is there any different with V2?

I tried V3 too ... but failed

it seems like beside 2.3.6, there is another factor why some of us cant use the doomlord method (every version). i read somewhere, maybe this bug has been patched by Google and depends on when the 2.3.6 firmware is compiled, maybe because some of us just recently updated to 2.3.6, the most recent build is already patched, it is just a BIG maybe..huhu
