dan install dlm pc..then u try root pakai v3...

sure will share here if i found anything useful , currently slowly learning the android structure first..lols

SDK already installed since a year ago, so i think, it will no influence the process right?
beside ADB also called from the folder and ADB driver also comes together from KIES installation if i am not mistaken.

Just wanna know for those who 'Failed' rooting using method 1 have their phone rooted b4?? And do u upgrade to 2.3.6 using kies or other method?

mine is not rooted, virgin from shop.
upgrade through KIES to 2.3.6

i have successfully rooted using DoomLord V3. I started from scratch coz i have rooted b4.

1. Download 2.3.6 from page 1
2. Use Odin to Reflash it to 2.3.6 ( All Data Lost as the S2 will become stock phone as u
buy from shop the 1st day)
3. Uninstall KIES and reinstall again (as it will reput all the driver again in Window)
4. Try using the newly install KIES to detect ur phone
5. Restart ur pc n start using the Guide from page 1 (without the KIES running)

Thats work for me. Any best of luck (btw i using Window 7 ultimate service pack 1
32bit)

i think people those succeed were using the flashing thru odin upgrade instead of thru KIES. maybe the provided firmware 2.3.6 is compiled before any new patch from Google.

Maybe u r right. I download the 2.3.6 KJ2 firmware thru other source. Try google it 'checkfus' and find ur appropriate version.

One of my friend succeed with 2.3.6 updated by KIES, I teach him step by step finally he did it. Wonder why i failed to root.>_<

Maybe u can try from stock phone. Just my opinion.

one question, i just downloaded the 2.3.6 firmware from the link provided on the first page. it is a zip file consists 2 files inside :
- I9100GDZKJ2_I9100GDZKJ2_I9100GOLCKJ2_HOME.tar.md5
- SS_DL.dll

i'm confused about the "SS_DL.dll", should i flash as one zip file or just the md5 file? thanks

after you install it..just run 【RUNME.BAT】

been following this thread for a week plus trying to root my newly bought phone. since I was upgrading from another android i really wanted to root. tried the DooMLoRD like a million times and faced the same problems as most here are having..while quietly waiting and reading finally decided to use the longer method and it took just 5 mins to do..

I had DZKJ2, flashed back to DZKI1 following the methods, got the root, then inserted sim and upgraded back to DZKJ2 via phone in like a few minutes

kudos to the guide posted here! extremely accurate to follow!!!

just left to get the jig to get rid of the count.

Good to hear. Others can try this method aswell rather than waiting for DooMLoRD method to work.
