Tried rcmix and also insertcoin, insertcoin gives me a better smoothness and performance. I installed aosp packages on top of insertcoin and it flies. Back to leedroid v.4.2.1 now while waiting for a almost pure aosp ics rom to be uploaded. That looks pretty cool and for the first time I am considering giving up sense. Lol

+1. but personal preference still swaying towards non-sense ICS at the moment as the leaked rom is enhanced sense 3.5 and not sense 4.0 yet. also, i think sense trimmed a lot of ICS stock features which is FAST. tried ultimite earlier, not to my liking and downloading virtuous now

which rom that you're using now? perhaps you may read thru the topic of the rom see if this is a known issue?

i might have missed any post but i havent come across reported issue of unable to sync google contact and gmail. previously i tried both rcmix and insercoin, both syncing google contact and gmail.

there's so many ICS based roms out there within 2 days, great xmas presents for us!

Stock rom

make sure you download the correct shipped stock rom.

i do have a same feeling like you earlier until i give a try for aosp ics rom, trying virtuous and it is pretty awesome. getting use to aosp rom now and will monitor how is the battery life as i've tasted the raw performance of it and more ics feeling where sense has ripped most of it.

class 10 sd card gives you higher writing / reading speed for data transfer. web browsing and app running has not much to do with data transfer / reading from sd card

aosp = android open source project, means pure android experience without sense / touchwiz or whatever manufacturer's UI integrated

or simple way to explain, no sense rom for our case.

Check your build number and baseband under about phone > software information > more

Then you find which Rom is matching these for your download.

if you are planning to root your phone for custom rom, ICS aosp rom's app drawer is slide left and right.

are you using normal sensation or xe? there is good review for anker battery which is available via ebay or amazon, try to search around for that. otherwise, you may wants to consider getting sensation xe oem battery which has higher capacity.

can you explain more in details? you said it shows connected by you cant access to internet?

please also tell us your setting, and is there any change of setting when you start facing this issue?

haha..sit back and relax dude as lee posted might have release before New year. Anyway I am back to leedroid v.4.2.1 after trying few ics roms, personally virtuous ranks my top list for aosp, but I need some sense features so ... Back to gb lol

htc announced earlier that sensation update for ics will be on early 2012, it is a norm that manufacturer release such statement without committing an exact date just in case they arent able to release on time.

i believe there is quite a lot of ARHD rom users around in our community here, perhaps they arent posting much?

the reason why i am sticking to leedroid is he really put in effort to release rom updates, instead of for the sake of releasing and catching up with other developers. one thing i noticed, his thread is one of the most civilised and friendly among xda.

i'm currently using bricked 1.6b6. what is fc / reboot / bootloop / camera freeze ever since i'm using this kernel.

when you on mobile network, of cos you're accessing via edge or hspda (same goes to wifi). if you dont want app syncing automatically upon connected to network, disable auto-sync : setting > accounts & sync > auto-sync

shield? screen protector is that you're referring to? i got my original screen protector (full screen clear type) from htc gardens, perfectly fitted by the staff there. so you may source around but beware, a lot of screen protector doesnt cover the full screen. happy sourcing mate!

you mean updating to latest firmware? the hboot thingy?

no no mate! never flash aosp kernel with sense rom. dig around at bricked's thread for the 1.6b6 download, or pm me your email address.

ahh, just got confirmation that exchange mail doesnt work with ICS rom's at the moment except virtuous. i thought my port of htc mail and widget doesnt work with virtuous previously.. lets see if i can get htc stock keyboard working with virtuous later.. that is the only ICS rom which is keep tempting me from leedroid and htc sense

do you check the checksum number prior flashing it? 1st ensure the file is not corrupted.

if the file isnt corrupted, in what stage the phone keep rebooting? complete boot? or half way using it?

cpu temperature easily goes up to 60 degree if i play game with leedroid v.4.2.1 and bricked v.1.6b6, browsing via 3G itself recorded around 50 degree.

try to lower down the cpu clock speed, i dont think the board can support 1.92. all the while i am running at 1.34 (undervolt -25)

if you're runningat 1.92 without undervolt, i think that is the reason why it keep on rebooting.

cpu1 is not always on in leedroid but smartassv2 cpu0 stucks at max frequency, so pls run with on demand.

huh?? even if set dummy APN also connect via mobile network? i honestly dont have any clue for what is happening to your sensation then.

haha.. good that it is working fine now. seems like it is the overclocking causing the reboot issue. have fun, and btw i just got confirmation that bricked v.1.6b6 has longer charging time. it easily took me 4-5 hrs for full charge so dont be surprised ya =)

yes mate, quite a numbers of applications are not compatible with ICS yet. you've pointed out a kinda critical point for others who is considering upgrading to ICS.
