I have rooted (s-off unofficial) my sensation. Since I'm using a 8gb SD card now, I'm intending to upgrade to 16gb. Can anyone tell me how can I change to new 16 gb SD card without losing the s-off function which was installed in 8gb previously?
*
Change of sd card does not affect your s-off. Just copy your stuffs from existing sd card to new one..

Same here, but to do that I have to wipe battery status everytime its fully charged.Am I doing the right thing?
If you are running on custom rom, you may flash a fix for inaccurate battery reading

Stock rom....

Added on November 12, 2011, 12:36 pm

But now okay d wor.....zzz
*
If you're rubbing with stock rom, then that is abnormal. Try to drain your battery and recharge to full for few times and see if that helps.

it seems like so much user are affect by the death grip and dust under screen problem, i am getting worried now since i want to get a sensation xe  sweat.gif
*
I am using first batch of sensation with death grip issue but solved by using tough casing. I believe the case prevents dust from entering my screen too. So no issue until now. Moreover since it is known issue, believe sensation xe no longer suffer from this problem imo

i'm on stock rom. is there a way of preventing an sms turning into an mms?
*
Are you using stock message application or 3rd party application? I went thru setting for stock message application but didn't see any setting to revert long sms from mms to sms. I am using handcent sms, which I disabled the feature of converting long sms into mms. Hope my input helps.

has anyone tried an app(found a few on android market) that can change the notification light color? any recommendation?

mate, do you think software can change the nature of hardware?

a question for you to think about : a yellow headlight of a car (3800k color temperature), can you change the color of the headlight via software from yellowish (3800k) to whitish (6000k)? unsure.gif

Finally new kernel! Woot Woot torrent dloading now, 20min to go, cant wait LoL  rclxms.gif

you'll be even amazed when lee cooks up some patches for current v.4.1 and kernel. a few bugs and issues are being reported. good thing is that he will be in kitchen tonite. yea yea!

running with v.4.1 for close to 12 hours, rock solid. only froze once while youtubing, adobe reader fc (uninstall and reinstall again fixed the fc issue), while using smartassv2 governor, it stuck at max frequency.

phone is running much cooler than previous version. drool.gif

Bro Im downloading the rom.Since it comes with Amaze cam then I will no longer need to run on Insertcoin rom (Dislike the UI colour).
Anyway some questions before flashing the Leedroid, hope you can give some help.
-Does the rom originally comes with CTR animation?Personally dont like it
-Do I need to flash kernel? Is the current one in the rom usable?
smile.gif

And the procedure is still the same : Clear Dalvick cache-factory reset-install zip ?
*
no crt animation yet for this release. even so, you can always disable the crt animation under display setting.

the kernel comes with the rom, which i think by far the best kernel after i tried faux's and bricked's. btw, lee just released a beta kernel which solves the compass in gps status issue.

QUOTE(E71s @ Nov 27 2011, 02:57 PM)
So the original leedroid kernal is running on one CPU only?
Can you please share me the link for the lastest kernel?
*
most of the custom rom also running with cpu0 as default, cpu1 will kicks in when cpu0 hits the treshold. there is script to force both core running all the time but no significant improvement in terms of performance and battery life, so.. why stress the cpu1 to stay online while it has no work to do?

Okay which means there is no need to flash other kernels right?
Another questions,do you recommend me to scale it on demand or smartass(I dont know whats that) ?
So the kernel for Leedroid is the normal one where both work at different speed?
*
hey mate, you got to be clear with ROM and kernel. you cant live without either one of them. from the explanation from faux, you'll understand better different governor's behaviors.

fyi, each rom developer will bundle with either stock kernel or custom kernel. end users has the option to stay stock, or to try other custom kernel to suit their preferences.

for lee's current official kernel (v.4.2) and v.4.4 beta, it is not running both cores simultaneously. you can achieve both cpus running via script / system tuner pro. there might be some other ways to force cpu1 online thou.

Kernel write up posted in the link is credit of faux123.

can you help me ask in xda whether smartassV2 for leedroid 4.2.1 has been fixed or does it still stuck at max freq for cpu0
*
hey mate, how have you been? didnt hear from you for quite a while =)

smartassv2 in leedroid v.4.2.1 is not fixed yet, default governor is on demand.

QUOTE(alloyion @ Dec 5 2011, 11:20 AM)
LeeDroid 4.2.1 already here!! hmm.. download download..
teh_master, i am still on V3.1.0 ..do i have to super wipe my phone before go on 4.2.1?
*
you're blessed mate, lee released v.4.2.1 yday and that is much improved and optimised. you have to run super wipe from v.3.x to v.4.x because v.4.x is based on android v.2.3.5 and sense 3.5 (v.3.x is based on android v.2.3.4 and sense 3.0)

QUOTE(AzeL @ Dec 5 2011, 12:07 PM)
yes you do, since 4.0 and above is sense 3.5 based.
*
thanks for the heads up and input, v.4.x is based on android 2.3.5 and sense 3.5

saw it too, will try it later.

I guess now we're going to be looking forward to Leedroid with ICS haha....i hope smarassV2 gets fixed, its really much better than on-demand. Faux had a new kernel at rootzwiki yerterday but im not sure I should flash that for 4.2.1
*
faux is back in kitchen for sensation kernel?? that is great!! i was previously testing with faux v.2.5b7 and bricked v.1.6b2 pairing with leedroid v.4.1. now that i just flashed leedroid v.4.2.1 kernel 4.5 which is working pretty fine (smooth and best battery life) will monitor and evaluate in coming few days after few more charge cycles.

IMO, ICS wont be available for developers any soon since htc will only release the update in "early 2012".

btw, there's a new kernel developer in rootzwiki too. i am yet to try out the kernel.

@E71s: a very good write up on your experiences across the rom's, which is very beneficial to the community. would you mind to share on average how many days / charge cycles that you spent on each rom during these days? and also the kernel that you used?

the screen off issue is more towards kernel's matter instead of rom in my opinion. i used to have this problem when i was running with faux's kernel with leedroid v.4.0 / 4.1, where bricked's kernel doesnt.

as for the heat up / high cpu temperature, i also think that is kernel related. my cpu temperature ever hits 58C with heavy browsing while running with custom rom and the max cpu temperature varies from different version of rom and kernel. over-clocking also contributes to the rise of heat too.
