Hi guys,

I've been digging multiple forums about TOC for quite some time now and i finally have some money to enroll into DAT course. I'm paying for the course myself and I would really appreciate if you guys can provide as much input so that I won't be dumping my savings into the drain.

Reason I choose TOC is because I am rather impressed with the facilities and the collaborations with car manufacturers and the facilities that they have. However, I've been reading around the net and found out that those are more of a marketing gimmicks and is not even half true. That was quite some time ago and I wonder if that is still the case today. Another thing is that it is quite near to my place.

Here and here are some of the things I found on the net about TOC.

I would really appreciate inputs from ex-TOC students, current students and others who has experience/stories about this college. If everything goes well, I will be registering for this upcoming November intake.

Thanks in advance guys notworthy.gif

Q: Why DAT?
A: I originally wanted to take DMS but it is too expensive (the most expensive course). I did not choose DAE because I am not planning to become an engineer or work in a manufacturing plant. I just want to be a mechanic, a proper one. For me, a proper mechanic saves lives like doctors. I can't stand blood, but don't mind oils, so I choose this way blush.gif

my colleague now was a TOC teacher before..he taught SKM there..

salary is good, but heavy workload + pressure..so he quit..hehe

staff go in and out of TOC is very common..

so, u can expect what happens to the students..

if u really wanted to get in this dirty(in physically) industry then better look for apperentice and start from the bottom
at least by in 1 or 2 years studying about it u get real life experince

dont like that la guys. i`m myself a mlvk student..got lvl 1,2, 3 and supervisory and diploma from UK college.. really faking hard to get job when everyone looking for experience.. if i know it i really should not go study, just start work after spm surely got experience..

not all mlvk student are incompetent and stupid..

really thinking about getting DKM 4 now..as very hard to find job with just SKM 3..if i were to be a mechanic i really wont need to pay so much money to study and get my lvl 3 SKM..my fren after finish SKM 3 be a mechanic at ***DA until now, 2 years, still a low lvl mechanic, his boss say need at least 5 years experience to move up even how good u are, salary still RM1K a month, paying back loan already nearly RM200.. many more years to go..

i m also thinking to do lvl 4 as well, just need time a bit..now only level 3 and paid around 2.5k only..
lvl 4 need 3 years of working experience is it?..
TOC i think is overpaid for study, just wanna suck ur money only but nothing to give u even it only 40%,u will learn more when u hands on in the workshop..
40% theory and 60% practical(NDTS Standard)..if u looking for Diploma,just go to IPTA or IPTS.. laugh.gif

coz TOC Aselaine Foo, CEO & Founder hold "Master in Chinese Opera" from UCLA... background not in business & education or even automotive so what U expect.. only support by ex-politician..

ILP was the best place at this moment coz some local Uni also go there for practical due to ILP have latest facility ...
