i personally prefer mplayer osx extended over mplayerx. the latter doesn't quite cope with funkier codecs, imo.

^ My worst case scenario coming true. sad.gif

If these iterations of the Macbook line are just mere speed bumps, I'm afraid it'll be a whole year before we see them sporting the Ivy Bridge infrastructure. And I can't wait that long, so I'll probably be a sucker and just buy one from this upcoming update. But urgh.

On the upside, I received my Macbook Air 11" yesterday and it is tiny yet awesome! biggrin.gif Going to travel around with it today and see how much difference the smaller size and weight will contribute to the overall comfort of travel compared to my previous 13" Air.

if it comes by the end of the year, then ivy bridge update should be after august or september

off topic, but intel will be bundling water coolers now with their sandy bridge chips apart from the stock air cooler we've seen since forever.

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Intel-San...ling,13666.html

wonder if this would break ground for stock water cooled laptops in the future. while highly unlikely, still something to ponder upon :P

just use the black cloth that comes bundled with the mac. i find that the most useful. unless you are willing to spend quite alot on a cleaning kit, which i dont find justifiable, i just stick to the black cloth. blush.gif
