QUOTE(radkliler @ Jul 8 2012, 07:59 PM) Let's discuss about how jelly we are over a game addict's harem. Take that to the Accel World thread. I'll be happy to oblige you.THAT SHIT DOESN'T HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE! Added on July 9, 2012, 5:37 am QUOTE(Anonymous) >obvious bug = feature yeah you tell um activision >can't log out, need to beat super boss a game filled with Tsukasa's? >take the game gear off it fries your brain but what if they take it off very very quickly or just small emp the shit? >253 people had died from having the neuro-linker (wait accel world) removed what about the thousands that just blindly rushed the field upon log in >no one talks over the admin or tries to flame him most unbelievable part of the show, let alone no one trying to attack him >I'll survive if I just fight monsters far outside my level range I don't even I'd bring up Diablo 3 scenarios and arguments to tell you how shitty SAO's setting is, and how much of your imagination it demands to suspend before the story can be logically understood. That is unless, of course, you're watching show for the blonde waifu - pretty much the same reason why people watch Accel World. This is what happens when you've got a shit story but try too hard to make it 'realistic' and 'believable' by setting up stupid rules. This post has been edited by Silencers: Jul 9 2012, 05:37 AM |

To be honest, it's challenging my willing suspension of belief by a very intimidating margin, I wonder how much more should I turn off my brain just to be able to accept the very premise itself. |

NervGear is the 1st gen of neuro linker. iirc, kirito makes a cameo appearance in Accel World light novel |

SAO first novel was enjoyable. Cheesy, but enjoyable. Where it really shine tho is the side stories in volume 2, and suddenly the there is much more depth in the characters. Might be because Reki had to cram volume 1 to fit the Dengeki Award criteria so he had to cut of a lot of stuffs.
Volume 3 and 4 was better as the story heads elsewhere. For starters, I suggest reading the source material before judging the story instead of reading up some troll reviews on troll sites and then using it as your own judgement. |
