A stage event during Sunday's Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2011 revealed that game adaptations of Reki Kawahara's Accel World and Sword Art Online light novel series have been green-lit. The previously revealed Accel World anime will be produced by Sunrise, and A-1 Pictures will handle the Sword Art Online anime.

Novel Translation:
http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.ph...word_Art_Online

Escape was impossible until it was cleared; a game over would mean an actual "death"―.
Without knowing the "truth" of the mysterious next generation MMO, 'Sword Art Online(SAO)', approximately ten thousand users logged in together, opening the curtains to this cruel death battle.
Participating alone in SAO, protagonist Kirito had promptly accepted the "truth" of this MMO.
And in the game world, a gigantic floating castle named 'Aincrad', he distinguished himself as a solo player.
Aiming to clear the game by reaching the highest floor, Kirito riskily continued alone.
Because of a pushy invitation from a female warrior and rapier expert, Asuna, he teamed up with her.
That encounter brought about an opportunity to call out to the fated Kirito―.

The legendary novel made an appearance with browsing numbers exceeding 6.5 million page views recorded at the personal website.

Accel World... And SAO... a double-wow to Kawahara Reki.

Especially for this one, as I keep hearing words on it.

Only thing that bothers me is why it didn't come any sooner. I knew it was coming though...

if u read the light novel, u could have guessed that the 1st volume of Sword Art Online could take 12 episode to finish(there no way they can skip that 24chapter full of plot) and a few ova for vol2

if they're making it a full season which is 24 episodes, i guess they're gonna cover untill vol 4

on a side note, i would have prefer Sunrise to do SAO, i mean they did Gundam, Code Geass, Gintama and a lot of other popular series after all, so i kinda hoping this one gets famous too since im already hoping for a second season

Btw, is the game gonna RPG or online? i dont care which one but i sure hope the US version came out fast rclxm9.gif

I don't play shitty JRPGs, and I've never played a single .hack game. I just watched hack/sign and that was pretty awesome. Not my fault that you got suckered into it, lol.

ive never played any .hack games either, so i am not sure whats the assumption on getting suckered. the plot from hack sign anime is clearly full of holes and it'll only be complete if you follow the entire franchise/games

and no, im not going into that.

i enjoyed KnK and F/Z. didnt bothered on the rest too. i cant enjoy hack sign as it is though. the ONLY thing i do enjoy is the OST/music, and visuals. anything else, its just forcing it too much.

granted, KnK and F/Z are high budget production and one being a cinema movie "series". so... honestly it isnt even fair to compare them against hack series

I'm just saying that .hack and the Nasuverse are similar in that you need to play the games if you really want to tie up loose ends.

kinda about walls, and some walls you can just punch through with minor resistance and some other walls will just break your limbs bones and all.
