This is normal.
If you did not reset/restart the device for long time, the battery reading might be out of calibration with a few percent of differences.

Have you update your iTunes yet? If not, go to help, check for update. Once finish update the iTunes, plug in your Iphone and it'll pop a massage stating a new software update is available for Iphone.

But before you update, make up you fully backup you device especially your contacts.

thanks for the feedback but we're talking about 5.0.1 battery performance. Perhaps, you could be hang on with the 5.0 and let us know the battery status.

Standby: 8hrs 21 mins
Usage: Location services ON, 3G and Cellular Data ON, Wifi off..Apps used FB & Whatsapp (considered minor usage today as busy at work)

No JB

It's much better toady after I resetted the settings...or maybe coz i didn't go much on FB. On normal days (before iOS5.0.1), i'll have to charge rigth before lunch.

Will try to drain my battery till 0 when i get back home and charge it again.

What kind of resetting you did? Or you restore it again>

Guys, it's really weird now. I'd play some games this morning but the battery seems to be less draining than previous. Normally, by this time it should be 50%-70% during IOS 5...well, whatever it is I'll try to use it until 0% then charge it again later.

Try to do hard reset..and then go to settings -->general --> reset --> Reset all settings --> start as new phone.  Don't worry..you won't lose any contacts or apps installed.  Just your passwords and alarm.
