QUOTE(nameeh @ Oct 13 2011, 06:25 AM)
this was the most unsettling iOS update since.. especially when all the 3002 etc errors.

hope this can help/guide some of u :
1. dl ios5 -no prob (within 2 hours via stimyx 1mb)
2. perform update -error 3002
3. perform another update -starts working
4. backup.. then set to factory settings (wtf moment1) -so far so good
5. update FW -progress bar moving.. fingers crossed
6. restore from backup -and asked for password!?? (wtf moment2). i actually set password for my backup restore last year. took me 3 tries to figure out.. fuh. if u guys got put password, best to recall before update.
7. restore apps.. still on-going until now. at the same time i can access my iphone.. and from my apps count previously 300+.. no left 80+. but the restore apps on-going so luckily i didn't press stop n unplug the cable (swipe to unlock active, not swipe to cancel synch.. interesting).
8. i verify my apps are restoring by checking the count in settings - about.. will update again soon

wish me luck smile.gif

Oh dear me. I'm updating the software now (27 mins remaining)...not looking forward to the wtf moments. Thanks for info. Will now try to remember the password...darn!

How about before you update to 5.0.1? Did you face more worse or now is worse?
Perhaps, it's time for you to try 5.0.1 since your batter drained to 88% after few minutes. It's confirm that you've got battery issue bro!

Nolar..I'm a purist tongue.gif..don't JB..never will JB.

I find that this update is worst that the previous one..dang! shouldn't have updated.
