I can't sync through wifi too, then I called my friend to ask, he mentioned iCloud wireless sync only works with OS Lion at the moment, is that true?
I'm currently using the OS Snow Leopard and I can't sync through through iCloud as well.

guys.. i downloaded the firmare manually from link.. now the itunes launched but when i hold SHIFT and click restore.. i couldn't find the ipsw fiel from what i downloaded.. can someone help? been trying to upgrade since wed...

Guy.. I try to iMessage my friend,at first it verify as not register iMessage,red exclamation mark. After I ask my friend On it and try again it remain red,seem like it do not reverify again. Anyone hav solution?

I don't quite understand the difference between iCloud backup and iTunes backup. Are they the same thing, and the only difference is that with iCloud, you can restore your backup even though you are far away from your iTunes/PC/Mac?

Say I want to restore my phone to a previous backup, and I'm not near to my PC, how do I restore using iCloud? I don't see any options in settings that allows me to do so.

Another thing I don't know is sending an iMessage. I start the Messages app > new message > type a friend's name who is on iOS 5, and it does not automatically show the option to send an iMessage, only a normal SMS. However, once I have sent a normal sms to that person, he or she can reply using an iMessage, after which I can also continue messaging through iMessage. But if I decide to send a message by clicking the 'new message' button again, it only allow me to send an SMS.

Hi, I downloaded the IPSW file from the link provided here in this thread.  But I can't find the iPhone Software Updates folder,

Under the following folder:  Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes  what I can see are:

\Cookies
\iPhone Carrier Support
\iTunes Plug-ins

there is no \iPhone Software Updates

So far I did not update my iOS before, I am still on iOS 4.3.1, is it becoz I did not update iOS before hence there is no \iPhone Software Updates folder?  Can I manually create the folder and put the IPSW file there?

I am using a Digi registered Iphone 4, try to update to IOS 5 from Itune with Window 7 and Kapersky 2011 antivirus, but I am not able to have the update completed. The message came out err 3265 network connection timed out, I am using a Unifi 5 m that should not have problem of bandwidth issue.
Is the problem with the Kapersky Antivirus ?? Very disturbing as try many many times already!

anyway, the location based is a great one, but totally unable to find custom address is just so damned lame.

for example, if you want it to reminds you to do something when you reach KLCC, you have to key in the address of KLCC at one of your contact list, then only you can choose it

you can't key in KLCC at the location in reminders....sigh
