Yes, online transaction is counted as retail transaction. Also, they have explicitly mentioned the exception list which is not consider as retail transaction in their TnC:11. For purposes of this Programme, “Retail Transactions” means the purchase of any goods or services (local and international) with the use of the credit card and may, at the Bank absolute discretion, include any card transaction as may be determined by the Bank except for the following transactions:
a. Flexi Payment Plan, Easy Payment Plan, Balance Transfer, QuickCash and Cash Advance; and/or
b. Any form of refund; and/or
c. Any dispute, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transaction; and/or
d. Interest / Management Fee payments, late payment charges, charges for cash
withdrawals, Government Service Tax and any other form of service/miscellaneous fees.
