QUOTE(shinjite @ Sep 14 2006, 06:11 PM) real life usage not much of a difference ler, just transfer faster hitachi hdd is more slimmer than other hdd provider available....Plus with a bigger cache, less read and write, so in a way, less stress plus, the capacity is a little bit more than others hdd.... not much looking forward of the performance, the reliability is more important for me! |

speaking of the fans for hdd...
does it help the SMART errors? and what is the purpose to adding the hdd fans onto the hdd beside cooling it down? perhaps, maybe it can say to reduce the chipset burn down? This post has been edited by victorboy: Sep 17 2006, 01:24 AM |

QUOTE(super macgyver @ Oct 27 2006, 07:45 PM) if i am not mistaken,wd do not have this problem...AFAIK.... even seagate do nothave this problem, i think... my seagate as secondary hdd, whereas hitachi as primary... during transfering data from hitachi to seagate, lagging, kinda slow... i do not know whether is my windows problem or what, during launching some application or application is running, sometime the system will hang for a while and slow... not sure about above statement.. is there any applcation to test the hdd speed? but one thing for hitachi hdd is, they give extra 2000MB space... like i bought 80G for hitachi and seagate.. hitachi total space given = 76.6GB seagate total space given = 74.5GB This post has been edited by victorboy: Oct 27 2006, 08:00 PM |

QUOTE(yehlai @ Nov 27 2006, 08:19 PM) My seagate 160GB SATA .. 49C° no...so Hitachi is really good... edit: hey why so different one the temperature.. ??!! u guys using cooling fan rite?? My seagate after cooling is 42C max i didn't use any cooling fans.... that's why i got this temperature with open 24/7 straight!! thinking to get some, to try out whether will it cool down the hdd or not... also, i am using the lousy, 5 years old back casing... ventilation is not so effective!! better change a new one with better ventilation! |
