Thx i'll try .. problem is with the gearbox ..im not sure if its already kong/broken down or i use wrong fluid..when i put R(everse) or D(rive) the whole car is shaking and while i step on the brake it will gradually Stop the engine.. anyone encounter this?
*
the shaking thing could be engine mounting... but the engine stop is something else....strongly suggest bringing it to a workshop to check

thx for reply.. actually i already bought another set of gearbox from chop shop last few days.. just now swap it with my old 1 and the result is still the same.. This time its only shaking..wont stall the engine..but the problem nw is when step on the gas the response is a little slower than my previous gearbox.. i tried it on a highway just now, step on the gas fully and the pick up is still slow.. yet another problem there is no reverse light!! any sifu's can help me with this?? cry.gif

Don't have that much money bro..  sad.gif
other advice?

don't really have an answer for you.
is yours using CVT or normal gear box?
this is my experience after my honda jazz cbu came back after an accident to the rear.
the idiots at honda jalan ipoh took 3 months to settle the issue, repair, paint, etc.
by the time it came back the gearbox was running funny.
suddenly can loss of power like kena speedcut.
imagine going highway 110kmh suddenly engine no power everything dropping.
i know how kimi raikonen felt.
didn't take a chance since the car already 7 years old i trade-in for Civic FD.

hatches all have torsion beams because of its compact size and relative performance, sad.

nope... EP3 no torsion beam....EK9 no have....my EG hatch oso no torsion beam...my ex-EF hatch oso no torsion beam...

actually the FN2 is the only VTEC-equipped Civic i can think of that has a torsion beam... not sure if theres any others... but the point is... not all hatches have torsion beams.

Torsion beam it is. I prefer the shape of it and the comfort level compared to the FD2R.

i think it was because those cars were designed in another era.
if i remember correctly torsion beams back then weren't as good as the ones we have now so they didn't use it for their high-end models, either torsion beams got alot better or accountants are running things now because even a performance car like FN2R also uses torsion beams cry.gif

i find that the 1997-2003 era high-end cars had the best stuff before environmental and accounting reasons reduced the goodies a car comes with.

not really... the EP3 was designed not long before the FN... and not long enough to be an "era"....even the satria neo dont have torsion beam....

just coz its a hatch, doesnt mean it must have torsion beam...this is not true as proven by so many other cars... torsion beam is by choice...not necessity (due to the car being a hatch)

n the main reason manufacturers use torsion beam is coz its cheap.

i guess we have to accept the fact accountants not engineers/designers run things at big corps cry.gif

It was definitely a type R. I saw the serial no and the car registration with the company. Plus type S will surely have that extra door at the back. So any sifu here can advice me? Thanx

nope, type-s is a hatch too.
anyway to find out if it is type-r or type-s just see the HP it generates.
