there relly isnt much u can tell from that... otherwise, bring a mechanic to check the chassis for accidents, potong etc etc... u dont need a mechanic to know this type of specific car... just a good mechanic will do... it is after all like any other a car at the end day
mechanically u kinda have to drive it...alot of problems usually wont appear when ur checking it... but will appear after driving it for awhile.
as for the big vtec thingy.. make sure its the twin cam aka DOHC version... coz the price is quite cheap for a DOHC VTEC EG Hatch. but even if its not...its still fine especially for that price.

I see, hows the fuel consumption? I assume as long as i minimize pushing the rev until the vtec kick it would save fuel and given the weight is abit less as compared to the engine horsepower I might have to pull back from buying now,as I dont have enuf space of carpark at my household area I might have to park outside which I am not comfortable with, But this is a good response and I would definitely buy this car in the future maybe in 1 2 years time - this would buy time for me to do more research on the car Thanks madman

fuel consumption? depends on what engine and wat setup....
my B20B JB-KL constant 140kmh only took half tank. full tank is RM115 RON97.
but basically yeah... below VTEC especially below 3.5k rpm its a decent fuel saver.

QUOTE(e_k1117 @ Oct 8 2011, 06:34 PM) hi All FD1 owner, recently i jump ship from Sh*ll to C*lt*x. just "feels" that Caltex is much more smoother.... in terms of acceleration and overall i feel that the C petrol is better than Sh*ll... nt sure any user here can clarify.. why bother censoring? just say la SHELL and CALTEX but yeah...shell to me (n my friends) basically sux... a friend of mine with B16B experiences pinging with Shell RON97... switch to petronas RON97...pinging gone. same goes for another friend with MIVEC 1.8.

QUOTE(hudrey @ Oct 8 2011, 12:54 PM) I see,I have found one, at a used car shop, what actually do I have to watch for,or how do i inspect it.because I dont have a friend who actually owns it..ill try to find one to follow me bt at the moment I dont know of any friend/pomen who really knows abt the car, Car Spec, 1.6 big vtec, year 92 mileage 130k + jpj inspction ready RM 26k + no more repair needed (im not really sure abt this) Thanks please always assume that you WILL need to repair old cars be it wear and tear and what not. rm26k car may not be just rm26k after you factor in repairs/maintenance. Hello fellow honda drivers. I have a yellow civic Del Sol also known as CRX Del Sol depending on which country. I have no idea which honda thread to join so I think I'll just settle for this one
