K20A ported and polished intake and exhaust. Exhaust is 4-2-1 (1.8 inch)
running with E-manage Ultimate and V-manage (ECU not compatible with Hondata)
*
huh? how come ur K20 isnt compatible with hondata? tried checking out K-Pro?

anyway...urs is K20A-Type R or Type S or the normal K20a in stream, CRV, FD2? the autos

and 1.8" thats waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too small... if urs is the R or S... then u should be running 2.5"

either way....i assume with ur management u have ignition tuning? if yes, then u should be able to tune to RON95...check with ur tuner.

the K20A that blew i mentioned earlier...i heard he built a K24 after that...and still running on RON95

K20A type R.... coz' the ECU is not from a type-R that's why not compatible with any Hondata stuff, including K-pro. I wish there was a way to make it compatible without changing the ECU, re-wiring, etc... but oh well.... can't undo past mistake without spending a bomb..

yup, my tuner recommended 2.5" also....

Should I go for S-flow or straight flow??
*
odd setup... u just plonked in an engine kosong is it?

s-flow or straight flow up to u man... but if auto, go for the s-flow

Well, the B20B is a bit of an old story. Long ago swap. Didn't opt for high comp, only 11.8, so if at a pinch where 97 not available, can run 95 now, but not high rpm (with B20B, who needs high rpm lol). Compared to the 1.6 1.8 B series, cannot lenjan like no tommorow. For daily driving though, the torque is  rclxm9.gif

K swap, my friend is doing, a bit too expensive for my blood though. In 5-6 years maybe.  whistling.gif

11.8? wat pistons u using? wat bore?

do share ur engine specs if u dont mind

personally, im ok with u getting the EG9... i sold off my 2002 kelisa for a 94 EG Hatch tongue.gif BUT.. u gotta be willing to take the shit that comes with it.. i.e the wear n tear...

also, if u get the EG9, ull be going from a 2 door to a 4 door.. more convenience... but a lil less sporty la..

and if u want something that screams... u can also opt to keep ur neo and shove in a B18C though itll be illegal... n yes a neo B18C has been done....OR... u could be the first in the country (or mebbe the world) that i know of to do a K20 swap into a Neo...again.. itll be illegal tongue.gif

legal would be the MIVECs..though they dont scream like VTECs.. OR.. 4G93T with a super loud wastegate.. OR.. a MIVEC 1.8T with an external wastegate biggrin.gif

Madman,
Specs eh? the engine is damn old already but (as I remember it)
it's a B18cR with a B20B block. (ori block involved in accident cracking the block), reused innards, and plonked into B20B, ran a while with CF4 pistons, then started consuming engine oil, took apart, rebuilt into current form now.
Wiseco Pistons 85mm (edit: custom low comp versions)
Forged rods (forgot what brand, only remember I opted for I beams for lightweight)
Block Guard
Type R cams
Hondata S300.
Mugen Header
Kakimoto's 2.5" exhaust set for DC2
Intake Edelbrock Performer X (this is a very recent purchase)
Type R intake with rebored Type R TB
Only making 200ish whp on dynojet. 201-203, since it's just a 1980ish cc with the B18c stroker.

*copy pasta from above*

Valve is standard with toda springs BC retainers, head is ported type R.
Also have a spare head and block with flat valves, but if I run that compression would exceed 12.
*
similar to my B20 (includes crank) though im only pushing 187whp on the dynojet with an estimated 12.5 compression... my B16A head has had PnP done to it but has also been skimmed quite alot at some point of its life hence the "estimated". coz using supertech 11.5 85mm pistons. that and also i dont have proper management save for VAFC and a chip doh.gif desperately need ignition tuning. and cams too.. the Type R cams arent big enough for the high compression. my engine is super rough.. graph is like a bloody earthquake

also using skunk2 intake with S90 70mm TB... hows the performer x? wat did u use before this? its actually on my consideration list.

if i read right...ur using B18C crank with 85mm pistons? that would give u 1979.3cc

if ur talking about the 2nd gen civic...i think its actually its the radiator and not intercooler...heheheh

Yep.  Anyway performer x installed. Hose routing is a nightmare. Had to change idle valve and throttle cable to type r. installation cost just went up a lot shocking.gif i should have retained my iacvlesssetup...
*
yes u should have maintained iacvless... hahahahha...why cant u maintain it anyway?

68mm is fine i guess...coz i using cilpak skunk2 now anyway which cant o to 70 either

QUOTE(zenix @ Jun 26 2012, 10:16 AM)
better than maddriver ah?  hmm.gif
how he charges?
expensive but great work or good work with decent price?  nod.gif
*
rochi has been building hondas for more than a decade...the brand hardrace's sepang 1000km eg6 race car was also built by him....theyve ben lotsa honda monsters

pricewise i dunno...not a customer.. but i do have a few of my friends whos sent his car to him....and they keep going back as repeat customers

maddriver is more to rally though.. and i have never seen a honda monster built by him. he has built other cars though.. and they do keep going back to him

so why not go back to IACVless? i would love to run IACVless... 1 less honda part failure to worry about...but at about RM4xx inclusive labour n parts to get the IACVless setup... id rather spend it on walbro hahahah

as for the throttle cable.. u got the EK9 or the DC2? coz the DC2 cable is just as stupid as the EG/EF cables which goes around the world before going to the throttle body. if EK9, its supposed to go under the intake manifold and come back up around to the throttle body

heres a sample pic of my setup..

Was on dc2/eg/ef throttle cable routing, so had to change to ek9 one. Woah u have much bling under the hood. Mine mostly black only.  Then again,  i am pretty lazy with engine cleaning.  Btw,  what ratio are u using for your b20b?

Added on June 26, 2012, 3:17 pmBtw just to give you an idea,  the performer x sits a full one inch closer to the firewall compared to itr/skunk2 one
*
whoah....tight clearance then...

the bling under the hood was there when i bought the car.. so i just maintain only...hahahah

stock B16A gearbox...with Type R clutch... i dun even have LSD cry.gif

Nah, don't worry, I ran stock B16A for a long time until my 3/4th syncro mamposed. Now on S4C, thinking of GSR LS 5th gear ratio for highway cruising but $$$ diverted elsewhere, like everyone else.. hahaha.
*
laugh.gif

yeah the GSR 5th would be longer right?

im actually pretty happy with my gearbox and ratios...just that no LSD makes me abit sad.gif i have no intentions of changing the gearbox... just fit in a type r LSD and mebbe Ogura and ill be happy already..hahhaa

ex-owner of my car recommended me to change my 3rd n 4th to U&A ratios.. said it was the bomb.. unfortunately he sold them before selling the car to me doh.gif

how much would it cost to get the GSR 5th installed?

Not sure, I'm not sure about trying it anytime soon because it is a huge jump from the 4th. Kinda depends on how much fuel goes up I guess..  laugh.gif
*
well... theres always the 4.2 FD ratio... laugh.gif
