QUOTE(windows2mac777@ @ Aug 30 2013, 06:21 PM) Hi guys, i personally would take a look at how well the car is taken care of.... and of course check for accident history.Sorry if my post is out of topic, just need a quick and useful tips and advise from all of you FYI, I'm planning to buy a civic in which particularly HONDA CIVIC 2.0 TYPE R (recon) and as far that i'm concern the price range is between 155k (2008 - year made) -180k (2010 - year made) So, can anyone here please give me some opinion and advise on how am i gonna make a decision, which car should i choose? p/s: sorry for my broken english, just couldn't find the right words/sentence to describe how desperate i am to choose and have the CIVIC 2.0 TYPE R after all these years another factor to look at is the list of mods with the car. whether or not its suited with the price of the car....usually the more the mods the higher the price. anyway... my cousin is looking to sell his FD2-R as well.. pretty much stock except for the hondata flashpro and the exhaust system last he told me a couple of weeks ago... havent seen the car much but i guess hes not the type that races the car.. never been to track too afaik... drop me a PM if u want his number.....hes located in shah alam This post has been edited by mADmAN: Aug 30 2013, 06:26 PM |

QUOTE(sadako-chan @ Oct 6 2013, 04:16 AM) Been a hectic work month. Haven't even touched my old EG. why wanna run 17" with the 5-6mm spacers?Next on the upgrade list, new wheels.. now still shopping for them, looking for 17" FD1/EP3 wheels. Also converted to ARP extended studs so I can use some 5-6mm spacers. QUOTE(ReidenLing @ Oct 6 2013, 08:58 PM) Short shift + shoft linkage = Done what shifter/linkage? changed the bushings on them?piping inlet 2.3 outlet 2.5 = Done type R flywheel n clutch set = OTW type r clutch set used or new? if used i would have gone for something with a light flywheel instead |

QUOTE(ReidenLing @ Oct 7 2013, 09:59 PM) sup bro long time no see yeah gonna try a light weight flywheel ,type R not lighten than stock B16 bro ...?? ooo....it just says that is it? i would have gone for dc2-r shifter, linkage and gear knob with uprated bushings... type r is slightly ligter than stock b16... but the clutch n pressure plate is the same.. usually those that come with branded (toda/spoon/exedy etc) flywheel (which is lighter than type r) comes with Exedy Stage 1 semi race clutch |

QUOTE(AveoHzq @ Oct 10 2013, 06:53 PM) At first of course i want FD2R compared to the FN2R but because of the price difference, which is about 30-40k, i opted for the FN2R. Im just worried about the parts. if ur worried about parts... then i think the DC5-R would be a better bet... and probably a better overall car too. |

QUOTE(unitron @ Oct 21 2013, 11:35 PM) What's the purpose of the 6 holes at the rear bumper ar... ?? that 6 holes is called a diffuser... and yes...aerodynamically related.Saw quite a few cars like that... always wondered why? I can only think of maybe aerodynamic related stuff... air trap at rear bumper at high speed... but wouldn't that be better solved by sealing off the bottom.. just guessing. Or just for show... which i dun understand also.. make the car uglier from the rear. rear bumper acts as a parachute....the holes will let the air through giving less air resistance on high speeds. sealing off the bottom also uses a diffuser like THIS but there really isnt any for the EG unless DIY. and even then, it may not be as effective for the EG coz of the undercarriage design may still allow some air into the rear bumper causing it to be trapped there and may even make matters worse with a diffuser coz it doesnt have any where to go personally... i dont like how it looks with gaping holes... but once u put netting at the holes... they look real good... and yes i have them netting |

QUOTE(unitron @ Oct 23 2013, 08:31 PM) aha... ok. My guess is correct. Thanks for clarifying it. no idea...havent brought the car to the track yet and I dont go insane on the public roadsThere's a big empty space under my rear bumper also. Any significant improvement for you after adding the holes? now my engine kapow already, cant really compare anyway, I doubt there will be noticeable difference honestly |

QUOTE(deutschland @ Nov 18 2013, 02:27 PM) always been a BIG fan of eg hatch. would like to get 1 and spend some money to done it up. 1/ prices are thereabouts... but those with SOHC engines should be around 25k...expect original EG6 chassis to be more expensive... simply coz its original... personally... i dont really think its worth it.here i need sifus to advise me on some questions 1. A quick search on mudah.my & carlist.my. Quite a number of eg hatch listed but price range is from RM30-40k. Is this a realistic amount to pay? i know some owner may spent alot $$$ but what is the reasonable amount to pay for a eg say with engine mod (B16A, B18CR...) or eg with original 1.6sohc engine or original eg6 with B16A engine? 2. What would be the cost to do engine swap (half cut B16A or B18CR + labour)? 3. Any bro here would like to let go his eg hatch at JB/Johor area can let me know. Hope bros who has above informations please don't mind to share with me. Thanks a lot once again 2/ B16A is about RM10k... B18C-R is about RM15k my advise... wait awhile... since JPJ is considering abolishing vehicles above 12yo...this issue is still ongoing and still not sure of the final outcome yet. if it does go through... i intend to make my EG Hatch into a full time track car. |
