QUOTE(leepaiwan @ Oct 10 2011, 03:13 PM) May I know how much does it cost to apply the permit in KL?? how long to get the approval?? Architect and engineer drawings and submission fees should cost you about RM7,000. Amount of time for approval entirely depends on whether your renovation has followed guidelines. Even so, approval would take 2-3 months at earliest following guidelines. Saw one house in ttdi which only got it's approval after 1.5 years from submission. It really depends on how complicated your plans are going to be.

Assumed, you have follow their guidelines, else some deposit will be forfeited This post has been edited by kucingfight: Nov 4 2011, 10:42 AM

i am doing my reno. archtect drawing is RM5k. I was told this is the cheapest already. DBKL is harder to get approval then MPBJ/MPSJ. (Obviously Pakatan states are less corrupt). Apparently you need to put up a signboard too... all adds up to the cost.. reno is expensive... TNS

To build kitchen cabinets and change of tiles you don't need council approval. Hope that helps. From what i know the more complex plans are better drawn out by an architect or structural engineer rather than a draftsman. Professional charges are expensive as hell but heck if you're doing major structural changes, better to be safe then sorry. This post has been edited by adrianjc: Nov 23 2011, 07:03 AM
