Currently in Malaysia, only available black & rough surface for back cover.
No support from XDA yet, however I'm quiet confident that we will get it soon since this phone was not only sold in china market... The phone brand & spec was competitive enough in this range even in US market
Normally I won't going to buy the phone after it just launch, however look at the ideos X5, the phone price only drop till rm7xx after 1 year+, so why are we waiting for ?
well, that's what i hope to buy actually cuz i absolutely hate glossy plastic that makes phones look cheap
one thing that holds me back is the 4" wide screen which makes it which narrower than other 4"
swype n slideIT keyboard r rather sucky on my current 3.2" mi-300

Huh ? why you said the screen was narrow than other ? I just compare the screen with Galaxy S which the screen size look almost the same for me...

However, galaxy W has better screen (TFT LCD vs LCD) + nicer camera output Source. The only upperhand I see Honor has is 4'' screen, Bigger battery + ICS
The current LCD lowest technology was TFT in the market, which mean both of it was using TFT too...
Just compare the screen at HP seller shop, Huawei Honor was surely beat the galaxy W...

Im using the china version GB 2.3.6 now. It has more preinstalled apps and comes with Cloud+ service and it works! You have 16GB cloup space and can back up all your system data to it. Very nice feature indeed. However, the preinstalled keyboard that is found in our ROM, TouchPal, has been removed and being replaced by Huawei IME and Sogou Input, which both are more chinese input oriented, that Im not that fond of. I still prefer TouchPal.
This ROM also comes with huawei's own appstore, which is also available in ICS. The appstore and Cloud+ are actually meant for China Mainland user, that most of the apps are what I believe is famous in China, and that also explains why Cloud+ only comes preinstalled with China version ROM.
Other than that, it also comes with a ebook reader, namely Palmebook and a CHN-ENG-CHN dictionary, called Powerword. The dictionary is actually quite good though. The rest of the more famous pre-installed apps are mobile QQ, Sina News, Weibo, UC Browser, Baidu, Tudou and so on.
Added on January 24, 2012, 6:14 pmFor all those apps that comes with ROM, however, all Gapps have been removed, even the Android Market is not pre installed.

Any feedback on the GPS performace? I need the phone to do a lot of tracking thus my priority of GPS performance which is pretty much not mentioned elsewhere
How does the display quality compared to Galaxy W and Nexus S? I think Honor 4" screen a bit different than normal 4" screen..Honor screen is a bit narrowed and taller..is it true?

It comes with Google Map and Navigation on default. Google Map locks on easily but Navigation doesn't work with Malaysia roads. I wanted to install Brut's Google Navigation but phone haven't been rooted.
