Yesterday my connection got interupted, didnt finish the download. Hey.... Huawei just released a new update minutes ago!! Go download again! Hahaha

I can't get the one earlier to work. It just restarts the phone. I guess the newer one should be working one.

Im on ICS posting this now. This is still BETA release, almost same like the one I tested earlier. However, a few more features are now working though, namely face unlock, cloud+ service and so on. There is still no market n gapps. :-( tried installing apk manually but mostly does not work, which was already been warned by Huawei, due to the app developer havent got their apps update to be compatible with ICS yet.

It feels quite buttery smooth overall with the user interface, but as I type, the keyboard by huawei is really pain in the ass. The word prediction works like it only knows alien possible combination. Frustrate me quite a lot to type this long.

Due to short coming of third party apps, u only can do this much with ICS, no more, which could really be a deal breaker. Camera, on the other side, has improved a lot. The best of it is that u can now focus on any part of the photo, rather thsn only focusing at the center point only.

Anyhow, I will roll back to GB 2.3.6 until more apps are compatible with ICS. Its still a real good phone for this price. A highly recommended one

Among one of the reason why I bought this phone is because I'm banking on Huawei building up their Android branding; that they will provide regular official updates. Official updates, in regular intervals and added functionality, are easy and time saver compared to custom roms.

Sadly for me, official updates is one part some company doesn't deliver. Partly because they spam lots of models every year for market segments (resulting in updates for each model slow to develop) and partly because hardware specs are racing ahead (low product shelf life).

Having said that, I hope XDA will have some custom roms in 6 months time. I don't know by then if Huawei still have the same commitment level like what they showing now for ICS.

This seems to be the best middle range phone per price ratio. I was very impress with the buttery smoothness of the GUI compared to the ones that came with HTC or Samsung which has slight 1-2sec delay from time to time. Any idea where I can get this at Penang? Wouldn't wanna risk to buy via postage. Thanks!

Hi, new Honor user here.... Just bought it on last friday...
So far everything was smooth as told by the online review...

Just install few game(Alphat 6, S.Fighter 4) & application in the phone... only the camera360 seen like can't work in this phone, maybe it was the installer problem... Will try it with other installer later.

So far I'm very satisfied with this phone performance especially the gaming performance...

My bro was just bought another phone SE Arc S, which have the exactly same specification with mine, only the battery & screen difference, will compare the battery performance later...

guys, is the back of the phone smooth n glossy?

n also, is the support at xda wide enough?

Hi bro, do let us know the outcome. I am currently considering these 2 models so was wondering if the Arc S justify the additional RM300 upgrade ? Is the Honor screen and Arc S screen huge different ?

The screen was almost the same, and I personally feel that Honor was slightly better.
May cause of Arc S(0.2") has bigger screen but same resolution with Honor.

Outlook wise Arc S was sure to beat Honor which has boring look like samsung/iphone...
However do note that the Arc S has physical button for the 3 button below the screen.
It was quiet difficult to press the key when you already familiar with the touch screen pressing method.

Camera wise Arc S was slightly better, however honor has a huge battery which 450mAH more than Arc S, which is the main reason why I select Honor.

Currently in Malaysia,only available black & rough surface for back cover.

No support from XDA yet, however I'm quiet confident that we will get it soon since this phone was not only sold in china market... The phone brand & spec was competitive enough in this range even in US market

Normally I won't going to buy the phone after it just launch, however look at the ideos X5, the phone price only drop till rm7xx after 1 year+, so why are we waiting for ?

However, galaxy W has better screen (TFT LCD vs LCD) + nicer camera output Source. The only upperhand I see Honor has is 4'' screen, Bigger battery + ICS
