@angelictears
Finally u ll be using that kernel, nice work for noticing.
@Rudd
No need to change da modem rev, juz use ur rev rev, its for those who need, mi300 doesnt need it. Anyway, read mr angelictears notes above, u just dont know what mr angelictears been doing for u guys. The info that he gives above much more better than my suggestion before.
Thanks.

I've been eagerly wanting to test Cyanogenmod default kernel since last year, but 7.1.0 kernel have several issues like touch driver and so on kept me away from it, but the RC0 kernel is much much better than previous kernel and i have to say I am eagerly waiting for the final product

So far that's the most stable kernel I've seen so far, with just 1 kernel panic in 1 week testing, maybe due to several priority script testing I've done so far. The only downside that I see is the overclock limit of 768MHz only, though for now, 2.6.35.x kernel with that stability is too hard to pass on. Compared to other kernel :
- 2.6.35.13 EA kernel : Full featured with wireless tethering enabled, lowest stability capability with several crashes specially when overclock and downright power hungry.
- 2.6.35.14 Ubuntu # kernel : Full featured with wireless tethering enabled, average stability, still power hungry.
- 2.6.35.13 cyanogenmod rmcc@tenkian #2 : Full featured, outstanding stability even when OC'd, all Android feature is enabled and almost 120% more power efficient than other 2.6.35.x kernel out there (with 12 - 20 hrs depending usage on standard CSL 1230 MAh battery).
So far, status bar have been change to translucent from source, so MIUI like status bar should give a little uplift to the "almost" legacy Gingerbread UI. Do note that it's still on testing, so I do hope users test the beta when it's uploaded later this week (I know, it's been delay again and again, but I do want to make this perfect, as I am taking a long holiday after 1.2.0 release, and even concentrate on ICS)
I do notice there is a release on MIUI port at boston mania. I have to say I have done that but not release it as it is too buggy, done from a LG p500 or Optimus One as all might know MIUI rom port, it work well, but several features such as outdated package (original MIUI 1.x) and theme cant be change (both lock screen and UI) kept me from releasing it

, overall it is a good experiment.
All and all, look up at my twitter for the release announcement by this week if all goes well. Keep up the support and cheers
Note : I'll be taking a long break after 1.2.0 release, concentrating on several other projects, due to Qualcomm recent release of ARMv6 Adreno 2xx GPU for ICS, I will also concentrating on ICS for z71, still no matter what you read on the net, don't keep your hopes high, ICS is a great OS, still it requires at least 512mb of RAM, that said several workround have been developed such as swap, memory extension on SD (same as a2sd where internal and external memory combine into one) and so on. I will also be concentrating on a new device (given the budget is enough), and back porting ICS features to gingerbread where applicable. That plus promoting brand to several parties (my project brand such as MyGingerbread Gaia, Sherry Graphics Driver and so on), minor face lift to several blog and upcoming all in one portal website so users can have easy access to all my project.
