thanks, this kernel based on 2.6.32.9#47 you can see in boston mania. but still battery life quite dissapointing. suppose u can readjust the kernel to be more better.

@am cascadia
most 2.6.32.x already undervolt kernel. if u really use ur fone for calling, try using china brand, their battery life really unbeatable. or u can try modified em urself. no grudge but that is ur solution.i also using 2 fone, 1 for entertainment 1 for calling.

Added on November 11, 2011, 7:10 pmi already surfing through all tsunami in internet to find other kernel that proved to be good or best, but nothing better, just be patience. maybe someday someone will make undervolt kernel that can last for 1 month (talking bout dreaming of future wink.gif )

i already find and test other 2.6.35.x but nothing can be flashing into ur GAIA. Status 0 but i will never give up. i will find others and test it. No success comes with yawning smile.gif

I see, I am am still developing the kernel, but its a slow progress, I don;'t have enough free space to work on 3 project simultaneously, currently the MYGingerbread Source code and kernel source are packed in my HDD, thinking on adding MIUI port project later on, hope I can buy a new HDD soon biggrin.gif

Hmm, about the kernel, I think it's not Gaia problem, have you updated your ROM manager/CWM? I too tested many 2.6.35.x kernel, and none give problems when flashing, although of course most of the kernel do have crash issue sometimes and are not stable enough sad.gif

i m not saying its GAIA problem, dont misunderstood me.anyway, report on 2.6.32.9 #47 too much unstable for GAIA,dont know if its just me,good on wifi but less on liquidity, ram efficiency, but i really like da red green wake sleep button, hope u can update GAIA with this setting coz eventhough i can replace da ball by myself, its too much work to reessamble back da fone as trackball really sensitive when dealing with sweat or dust.so i dont really use it except for recovery mode.

I flashed my mi300 to Firetrap 10 Final and then update to this GAIA, but I can't connect to my wifi and also can't connect via usb cable. What should I do now? Any idea? Should I update the kernel (and which kernel)?

Thanks in advance =)

I see
I'll try and see what I can do to optimize the ROM for various kernel, although the kernel instability are not effected by the ROM fault, as it is the kernel bug.
An update will be uploaded soon if it is finish. biggrin.gif

Try rebooting several time, most wifi problem (except disconnect when in sleep mode) can be solve by rebooting (often several times) and/or flashing/reflashing a new kernel. Wifi related problem are kernel bug, sorry for the inconvenience sad.gif

Wifi disconnect when in sleep mode is a common bug in any 2.6.32.x kernel, so far only 2.6.35.x kernels are proven to fix that bug. Note that it's not the ROM bug as the wifi driver/module are included in the kernel
(boot.img). Sorry sad.gif

sorry guys if this seems inappropriate here.

was trying to flash to GAIA using rom manager. i wanted to make a backup of my current ROM however, it kept getting stuck at the "enter Recovery mode" phase on boot screen. what should i do here? continue waiting or pressing volume up+camera+power button. however, i did that but still nothing happens

also, after backing up my current rom, should i partition my sd card? what about clearing caches (i have no idea how to access this options) and flashing to firetrap rom??? i'm lost T_T

actually i used to have the exact problem, i cant seem to be able to flash cwm properly thru rom manager, or maybe the latest cwm just dont work with me.

somehow my solution is to flash cwm 3.5.1.0 using fastboot. you can see how here.

Thanks for the reply, I tried rebooting several time, and take out the battery, but it still the same. Then I flashed into Kernel_2.6.32.9_EA#20 but it still obtaining IP address and disconnected. Or if you have any suggestion on which kernel i should try then please let me know smile.gif

Yes, I do the same like in the last.pdf file.

The performance is awesome using this rom, here is my score after I tweaked cpu to max 729mhz, min 480mh using SetCPU...

In "fastboot mode" you don't have menu, it's just for flashing partitions, recovery in your case.
Put the phone in "fastboot mode" and use "InstallClockWorkModRecovery.bat".
