I dint watch the full game but I saw Coates did a mistake that cost us a goal

Well, its very unfortunate to see him done dat. But lets hope Coates will 'wake up' and learned from his lesson.

That's the only mistake he made throughout the whole game. Lets give him credit, don't let one mistake overshadow his brilliant performance against a rugby team like stoke. rclxms.gif

We lost at the Britannia earlier this season despite dominating the game and once again, we created more chances. The difference this time is we put them away. Keep creating and it's only a matter of time before the goals come. Hopefully, this morning is an indication that it will happen sooner rather than later. Suarez's exquisite goal could prove to be the much needed confidence booster. He has missed a hat full of chances this season but that was truly a superb goal.

Good result this. We put out a relatively strong side, with the only new faces being Maxi, Coates and Spearing but Stoke were relatively at full strength and let's not forget how difficult it is for visiting sides to get 3 points from there. Been awhile since we've progressed to this stage of the competition.

LOL at the accusation that we talk about MU all the time, especially when we are discussing the draw. Can't differentiate between talking about a future tie and making fun of the others results, name, song and team? So I guess it's fine to mention the other teams we could meet so long as we don't mention MU?

coates was pretty solid. a few more games to get him familiarized with the pace of PL.

like i said not long ago, FA and the mickey mouse cup is ours to loose.

btw, here's a nice vids i found on rawk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTfKIzPMjtc

i can remember most of the goal in the video. pity the young fans who didnt have the chance to watch fowler and owen in their prime and young gerrard. good times.

what we need to improve is our winger. all this while, we don have a fast and reliable winger since downing came in but it seems he is not living to his par yet compare his days in aston villa.

yups..correct..we need skillful and pacy winger..someone who can dribble and do tricks and get the ball from falnks into penalty box..i like to see Robben-type winger (bar his injury proneness of course) to be in our team..

I think the mickey mouse cup is a serious competition now.City, united, arsenal, chelsea,us all in the quarters.

I have to say i was fortunate enough to see michael owen in his prime.I would say he was even better than torres in terms of contribution to liverpool.Sad to see him wasted on the united bench now.Well you get what you asked for blush.gif

Young gerrard was very energetic and reckless.Always getting in two footed challenges and red cards especially against everton.

Here's a video of an even younger gerrard

the sight of him tracking back, running full speed chasing a loose ball and actually did get the ball when tackling always made me goes something like "ouuhhhh!! power power power... mamat ni" Ged did a good job giving him the captain's armband and making him more mature.

He bombarded carrying the ball forward for counter attacks, but sometimes look rather lost in the process. >.<

It's time to let someone younger and with a lot of experience to become a captain. Lucas is fully capable to replace Stevie and Carra. He's been with us for a long time and the team respect him.

Good game last night. Maxi was good. Bellamy was still the most dangerous person on the team, and Coates was class even though he made a mistake. Suarez had a good game.

Anyways, my starting XI this sunday.

Reina
Kelly Skrtel Coates Enrique
Kuyt Lucas Gerrard Bellamy/Maxi
Caroll Suarez

It's time for Coates to get off the bench. He needs his match fitness. I think it's time KD to consider rotating between Coates and Carra.

OOT; anyone knows that one blog where the guy post videos of highlights and full matches?

ya got an extra player there, that's 4-5-2 on the line up! (assuming that you'll be using both bellamy and maxi)

but i would put bellamy as replacement for Suarez, Kuyt as replacement for Carroll and I think Henderson and Downing should start, Maxi should be used to sub one of the wingers.

last night game was great. it's a give for me that been hurt for Norwich game. i saw the key point is, the urgency in attack. Many times spearing give the ball forward quickly...so their defender need to organize quick. But still have some side passing, but that can be improve.
