Hello guys, bad news. Dropped my P6200 screen first and broke the screen glass. Now the screen is still functioning.

Anyway, good news is i can finally visit samsung to replace the screen AND the housing as well.

Is there anyone know how much for the following item ?
1. screen
2. housing

Do you think i should revert back to Honeycomb ? I am now using UNROOTED AUSTRIA ICS ROM. Obviously when things like this happen i can't claim the warranty and i don't intend to. I'm just afraid that they charge me higher if i send them with different ROM like that.

No worries. You won't be charge higher just because you are not on official rom
Intact past 5 times in past 3 years my phones n tablets obviously rooted n custom roms I still get foc warranty services

Hi guys,

Wanna report that i've updated my tab with ICS Malaysia from Kies. Two things that i found seems like missing is adobe flash and no option to add shortcuts in lock screen.

Looking at S3 It was supposed to be in settings > Security > Screen security but it's not there. Apps such as Quick Launch is also not available at play store.

as for the adobe flash, the support is supposed to be discontinued from Jellybean however i'm not able to play flash videos from web now.

any suggestions on how to resolve this is highly appreciated.

Other than that this upgrade is worth it... i can feel the improvements in performance and animations.

Nevermind. I'll just pay lah. Including for the new housing as well and hopefully will get the feeling of buying a new phone. Hehe.

hahaha. sure. i'll visit samsung beside naza on tuesday. i knew it'll be costly but since i learnt how to root and using ICS Austria and etc, i kinda like this device more. just pay lah. hahaha

Ics for tabs has no lock screen short cut. Similar case for all Samsung's tablet. I miss that function too.

As for flash, u can just download the apk directly and install.

I hope they upgrade it like S3 later... very handy... tried widget locker and Magic locker seems like it slows down my tab and the animation lags badly. seems like it's not designed for tabs.

Installed the apk.. it only works on stock browser. Tested on firefox and opera and chrome it does not work. at least one works..

I enjoyed ICS too much my battery only last for 5 hours... feels like new.. the UI respond is very good.

I went to Samsung PJ today. the Q was very long T_T.

anyway, here is the price :

1. screen - RM533.70
2. the cover/housing : RM146.10

I took the screen only because they promised me that i can collect the phone tomorrow. If i want the cover/housing, I need to order first and it's going to take 1 week. So, i'll pay the deposit when i go to pick up my phone tomorrow and once the cover is ready i'll visit them for installation

For the screen, is that price quoted for LCD + Digitizer + Labor charge?

since I saw somewhere the price for lcd alone cost around 13X.00 and digitizer around 200.

Well, he quoted me the price for everything. I don't know what is LCD or Digitizer. The way he explained it to me it's including everything the whole screen+the black thingy around it.
