Cons I cannot find any thats why never answer you. Seriously it is one badass phone. I got no issue with heat. Yellow triangle is not even an issue unless u mean yellow tint. Yellow tint is not visible to me Pink spot not visible to me.

No phone is truly perfect, not even apple iPhone.

So it's up to individual to decide whether the shortcomings is acceptable or fixable or not.

Thats why I said IF..I'm just giving an example of measuring..
Apple iPhone cannot compete with Galaxy S2..at least for me..
iPad 2 for me is useless and boring when it compare to Galaxy Tab 10.1..at least for me as well..

All statements are based on my personal opinion and is not represent for all Galaxy S2 users wink.gif

I dont think so for the following reasons, even the HTC Sensation XE will become obsolete after 6 mths.

1) SGS2 got low reso despite its AMOLED technology. Browsing webpage experience not so good.

2) Next year will be the year for 720p display, so SGS2 display confirm become obsolete

3) Next year will intro quad-core smart phones edy with capability of playing DOTA at max settings and max reso, so SGS2 oso out edy.

4) 1GB RAM cannot sustain Google next OS, which is Jelly Bean which has more 3D interface and animations.

5) Next year also 80% of new phones will be on aluminium or metal cover chasis while SGS2 is still on plastic case. (you can search this on some rumours sites)

6) Next year also most phones will be at least 2000mhA battery capacity while SGS2 still on 1650mHA.

So conclusion, I believe SGS2 will become obsolete by May/June 2012. This is why ppl nowadays change phones every year to catch-up with technology.

I can understand why you are asking about all the cons about this phone. It's a huge investment. I don't blame you.. really.

I was like that in the beginning.

If I were to purposely try to bring up some cons, it would be:

1. Camera not the best there is. It's not to say that this camera is lousy, but I've seen better pictures coming out from other phones with the same or less price range. Examples: the king of camera phones N8, and dare I say, better stills on the iPhone in low lighting conditions.

2. Overheating. All purely because of its super awesome and crazily fast processor, thin back which means you directly feel the running CPU heat unlike slightly thicker phones which don't get such direct contact. For me, I don't give a crap about it cause coming from the n900, overheating is normal to me.

but really.... these are just me PURPOSELY trying my utter best to dish out some cons for to you. If it matters, like for me, I'd have preferred a hardware keyboard like my previous phone, it's not fair to compare a full touch phone with one that has a hardware keyboard... so compared to other candybars, the screen provides a lot of real-estate to thumb-type easily...

The screen is gorgeous!!! Major attraction for me. Don't get us started with what we like about the phone though... hhahaha,

All phones won't last too long when it comes to being the flagship phone or being the best phone there is. The life cycle of phones being that is getting faster and a shorter... one year I more than you can ask for before some fella comes up with something that completely blows the previous generations away...

Don't try to keep up though.... unless you're loaded.. hahaha

I think what kazama82 meant is SGSII can be use up to 4 - 5 years which is correct if you take care of you phone. Though it sure won't be top phone anymore but who's cares. As long as Nexus Prime firmware can get updates means so can SGSII since both nearly the same spec. Only the hd screen is different. Better keep your finger crossed ~~lol~~

I mean the basic spec like both have dual-cores. That's why CM7 have problem ported Nexus S into SGSII perfectly as one is single core and another is dual-core.
