QUOTE(property101 @ Dec 27 2011, 09:05 AM) Quote: "In 1792, the gold/silver ratio was fixed by law in the United States at 1:15" time has passed so many years, discovery for silver usage is getting more and more but silver is getting less and less. funny thing is gold silver ratio getting wider and wider Heavily speculated and controlled. Only when big banks failed will we see the day when silver price are in the "free market" mode instead of "controlled mode". Which I think many people (silver stacker that is) is hoping for as the best case scenario. But if the banks are heavily supported by government all over the world who do not want the financial system to fail, or USD to devalue, I think silver price will be controlled for a much longer period of time. Which bring Mike Maloney to promote silver and hope MORE PEOPLE buy silver, physcial silver, and JP Morgan will be pushing papers and hot air around as silver until it cannot be contained. chef

QUOTE(pubmut @ Dec 27 2011, 11:15 AM) A quick update for Apmex shoppers, they have included Malaysia and Singapore in their address portion of the account, so update your account details and the amount you see on their website as you checkout will be the actual/final amount you pay. There are no other associated charges other than your RM25 bank charge to wire them across. If in doubt, chat with their sales or just email them. long time no see, it good that u r back again especially year end bonus and price is very2 cun.

QUOTE(GoldChan @ Dec 27 2011, 10:21 PM) long time no see, it good that u r back again especially year end bonus and price is very2 cun. Thanks for the acknowledgement GoldChan. I took time off to focus on dollar cost averaging my purchases as well as studying the latest info put out by the Tea Party think tanks on the future. The price is definitely looking good now, thanks to the sheer volume of paper (currency) thrown at it. I reckon it gets better going into the New Year. I am waiting for my next purchase. One other item I would strongly recommend to all metalbugs: Read James G. Rickards "Currency Wars" and you will have a good idea on what the future will be like. You can find it at Kinokuniya. It's hardcover an going around RM99.00. Regards Pub Mutt

We will not know when the price is at the bottom. Just plan on your entry price or cost averaging or worst case, stay by the sideline & just look see. When price climb back you'll surely regret why I didn't enter when price is low.

Very true RRR, Everyone I know who profitted from other investment always say, I should have bought more, I should have pump in more money. just think, putting your money in the bank for 3% interest, or invest in something else? In singapore, it's worst, singapore interest rate is 0.01 percent, and I wonder why people still leave the money in the bank. chef PS Thanks RRR, for your link to the good err... something. you know and I know what. ha ha....

i personally feel Mike Maloney has been playing a very important role in educating the public about silver. i notice a lot of people do quote what he said. without mike i guess public awareness about silver will not be at today's level

Mike's intentions weren't about silver and gold per se, but rather the cycles of wealth in history. We are in that cycle in history for that wealth transfer and positioned so by investing now.
Following the herd imparts a feel-good factor that we're on to something big that's coming and we're going to profit tremendously from it, but the most important lessons to learn is not to get attached to the metal (as we all do with shiny bright objects) and to exit just before the top.
So the question begs -
1. When/What/How does one consider the top to be? 2. What is your exit strategy?
It is interesting to note that the local authors put out the books now rather than before the awareness began (like maybe 2008?). One must wonder whether they too are cashing in on the awareness? I recall browsing through one at the bookshop and it contained little new information that other authors haven't covered.
Regards
