iOS4 or iOS5?

I remember the first time I put in a 3G sim card into my iOS4.3.5, it can't get connected to mobile data. Added the name Celcom3G into the APN, it finally works. But from time to time (seldom), I had to reboot the pad to get connected again into mobile data again.

While on iOS5, it works immediately when I had the sim put into another ipad2 with iOS5.

I thot I read somewhere u can do it thru viber. Unless u meant specifically SMS to normal non smartphone.

I'm updating ios5 now, anyone had problem updating thru iTunes?

SMS in this context would mean the ordinary telco/carrier's kind of Short Messaging System service.

If you are referring to Viber, which requires user to authenticate themselves to Viber server, it's practically the same thing like iMessage, except iMessage has smaller group of people, which restricted to iOS5 users only, while Viber is cross platform.

Don't get me started with WhatsApp next. Unfortunately, there's no way to get WhatsApp working on a non-JB iPad. Even Viber was running on the phone app for iPad.

Nope. I managed to find a solution to that issue. An app was trying to update itself but connection was lost before it was completed. What i did is to resume the update and it works.

Another thing. Is there a way to turn off USB charging? Every time i connect my ipad to my laptop the battery status is "Not Charging" but in fact, it is charging.

By the time the battery spoiled, you would have already bought iPad4.

For Hotlink, do you have to activate the daily data before you can use the data services?

If that's the case, you can't active from iPad as it has no dial pad. You will need to put the sim card into a phone to activate it. Not sure if you can do it from the website.

If not mistaken, BB can't host mobile hotspot.

how to cheack my ipad battery usage ?

My friend's iPad went kaput and she took it back to epicenter at pavilion. They told her that after warranty period is over, they won't repair it even if she is willing to pay for any repairs

I think it's a mistake but how true is it? According to epicenter - no warranty no repairs

i also want to know ... anyone ?

i just checked with Machines and VD, they said no problem, bring it in even warranty is over. They will just charge us accordingly for the repairs

it will infinite loop apple logo.. den i need to plug in cable to load to the lockscreen.. after reaching lockscreen it will pop out the "slide to power off"
