what are the common issues for ipad air and ipad mini RD? I know that the mini RD have some screen issues... any other problem? how about ipad air?

I have been using my iPad Air for a week by now. I only discovered about the yellow tint issue on the screen that most people experience, my own device has no such problem except when I go to settings, but it's not obvious. And I also think that I see wrongly haha. Another issue is low frame rate per second when playing Dead Trigger 2, the game is working perfectly at 60 fps when I play it with my Nexus 7 2013. But with iPad Air, its running on 20fps. My friend has the same iPad Air, and I asked him to benchmark by using the Dead Trigger 2 as well, he is getting lag issues with low framerate like me.

Other than that, no more problems and iPad Air is a good tablet.


iPad Air is ~264 ppi pixel density.

iPad Mini Retina Display is ~324 ppi pixel density.

From this, we can always say that iPad Mini Retina Display has sharper images compared to iPad Air. Actually, you can see the display comparison in the CNET Review. iPad Mini Retina Display has this grey scale display which is not available inside iPad Air.

I have ipad mini .. Its a gift so no receipt provided. The warranty end in january 2015. The problem is,after i open the box, switch it ON - it give me blue screen then black. It didnt power on at all... No matter how long i charge still cant switch on. I have done hard reset still no luck.

How should i send this for repair if the device has no receipt of purchase? Im in sarawak, is there any apple authorizes service centre here? The item originally mail from kl.

Just take it to any apple service provider to claim warranty. U do not need the receipt to claim for warranty.

Exactly right. I have sent in my iMac n ipod for warranty claim about 4 years ago n in both ocassions need not show proof of purchase. The service center identify your warranty through unit serial number.

Is there any apple service provider in miri sarawak?

Wanna ask is any good 3rd party Lightning cable for iPad? The official 1 looks easily to fall apart.

Burned RM33 on a 3rd party 30pin to VGA adapter for my iPad2. Keeps saying "Accessory not supported by this iPad".

From reading online, some have said even the geniune adapters had problems and came to the belief that it's caused by an outdated firmware used by the adapter.

Sigh. Contemplating whether to burn RM139 for the genuine adapter. But will have to request them on the spot to test it and show me that it works. Otherwise, waste petrol only.

anyone know is it iPad "not charging" is actually charging? i know iPad require 1A at least to be charge

i plugged my iPad to computer usb, i check with tool, the iPad draws around 0.8A, it always show not charging... somehow i leave it for few hours, it does charged

Been wondering if I should get one for my ipad mini since I do mostly just about anything on it when I'm in uni.

It's either that or buying a decent laptop with good battery.

any bluetooth keyboard should work. im using my imac wireless keyboard at home. for travel, u might need something smaller and lighter right?

i guess most of the attachables ones are pretty light.

I have an Ipad mini 1st generation wifi + celular model , recently the ipad give me the famous "image retention" issue and i have to replace the LCD.

i put it for charging, then after few hours and go to have a look. find it cannot ON anymore.
try re-charge (it feel hot at the back near the volume button side) and try guide from internet how to restart it.. but it cannot work.
is it overcharge, battery gone?
totally damage? anywhere can repair and fix it? mind recommend reliable workshop.. thanks.

Where can i find real Apple service center? to exchange or top up to change my spoil ipad. I went to 1U, they say they cant service cause the waranty finish and ask me go to real service center.

any way to disable the press home button to unlock on ipad mini 2? It's annoying and a lil bit laggy since this model has no fingerprint sensor.
