If it hammer drill with sds chucking, it is normal for some wobbling.

But for 3finger chuck, it shouldn't be wobbling too much. Or minor.
*
After detail inspection of the 3 finger chuck, looks like one of the finger in the chuck is out of alignment a bit.
Mujur I have found the receipt.

A joke and fact that can be brought for LOL : always ensure fit connections before starting a work.
The above fact will ensure safety of the person and equipment.
Also, if you never/or can't connect it properly, it will endanger your self in worst case scenario, or break the drill bit. Not to mention the motor have to suffer additional stress.
*
Ya lor, I remember my electric drill does not wobble that much.
Did a search on google and seems like this is happening on many cordless drills.

Finally found the receipt oh yeah!!! rclxm9.gif

Anyway, need your guy's opinion on this. I have a Dremel 4000, a plunge router attachment with modified length of the rod as to convert a hobby power tool to a semi pro power tool. Apparently this way does not work on cutting MDF straight. So now am thinking getting a real pro power tool for the right job. Jigsaw sure out of topic as it won't give a real straight cut. Left with circular saw which I'm thinking to get. But would like to convert it to a fixed saw as this is the only way to get real straight cut.
Any idea for this? Thanks.
*
Use a straight metal ruler as cutting guide also can't cut straight with a jigsaw? *nvr try it myself yet*
If the MDF you cut is not more than 1 inch can consider those 10.8v circular saw?

If got budget, get a proper portable 10" table saw? Can store at corner of the room when no use tongue.gif
I saw many in youtube converting circular saw to table saw, but without any proper saw blade protection, very scary.

Did further testing on all my drill bits after work today.
Seems like not all drill bits will wobble.
Looking at the picture, those bits at the right wobbles while those at the left is stable or wobble a little only.
most 4mm drill bits wobble except 1.
Hmm...I think the drill is ok, just the drill bits. I don't have smaller size(less than 4mm) bits to test.

You buying the cheap concrete drill bit? The material is freaking soft.

Have a set don't no who give. I throw away.
*
Those drill bits I accumulated over the years, got china bundle bits, B&D, wolfcraft and bosch.
The ones I used the most are 5 and 6 mm.

Well, 2 of the bits that wobble are from Bosch, 4mm and 10mm.

Guess YouTube plenty such video how to convert.

Still pretty easy to cut my door Nyatoh wood using the cordless circular saw.
*
If use 18V I think will have enough power to cut hard wood.
Later when I make my workbench with resak wood I plan to cut with my 18v jigsaw.

A GKS 235T that requires 2000W wired cost you rm880.
While an entry level Bosch cordless cost you rm4** or the 18V cost rm1***.
Also the motor speed also matters, especially when you need to cut MDF or HDF, cutting wood actually requires more power than cutting metal.
*
The blade is very important too.
Blade that come with the saw is usually good to cut wood but not mdf.
For mdf, you need blades that has more teeth for a smooth finish so put that into your cost too.

The 18V Bosch cordless circular saw CCS180BL only sells for USD 128, bare tool with Lboxx-2 in Amazon. Its made in Malaysia.
I don't understand why Malaysia is selling so god damn expensive @ RM1k just for bare tool. mad.gif

Btw, my 18V bosch square sander has arrive. Can do pallet wood sanding outside and no need to worry too much dust in house. rclxm9.gif

Does not ship to here. Anything that involve battery, amazon won't ship international.

So got to use the yushin way. Probably same as the tools price for the shipping cost ?
*
Well, for that circular saw, shipping costs = cost of the saw. sad.gif
Amazon prime day is today, see amazon prime day got crazy 30% discount or not.

I can get a cheaper shipping cost. But require over 100lb of weight. And longer shipping time. (vessel)

I don't mind longer shipping time if the transport cost is really cheap. hehehe.
My DIY projects can wait. smile.gif

Anyway, after went to a local Bosch distributor, the best option would be GKS 66X to buy locally for the price of rm530.
No doubt Gemfive, lazada are selling cheaper(with the discount vouchers) of the price as low as rm482, but it does not come together with the dust extractor attachment and the guide. So better ask properly before buying any power tools, especially buying online.
*
Haih... Many of the items in our online shopping portals does not even have a proper "what is in the box" list.
Some dont even have Q&A section. rclxub.gif

Hi,

Do you guys do dust collection when cutting/routing/sanding?
I plan to convert my small room into a woodwork room. Worry about dusts flying around. Room is small at about 8' x 10'.
Saw some cyclone collectors in aliexpress, quite interesting.

price wise oso okay.. but does this below RM 150 range cyclone collectors  works better than let say RM 500 range normal vaccum cleaner?  might buy 1 ..hehe
*
RM150 is just the cyclone cone from aliexpress, you need to add the vacuum blower and dustbin to make it work.
Want high quality air can even add HEPA filter lol...

The cyclone's function is to collect larger wood dusts first before the air goes to your vacuum cleaner.
Normal home use vacuum cleaner not durable enough to handle too many wood dust.

Better do it open air, even you are using the world most expensive dust extractor, it won't remove 100% most of the time.
Wear proper dust mask(avoid those 3M cheapo mask) and safety spec are the best way to go with it.
*
Can recommend some good dust mask? Most I see are those 3M one in ACE.

Mine is home DIY and small woodworking only. Not hardcore production type.
Doing in a room has the benefit of aircond.

dam the 30 and 25% discounts all expired, not even the 20%, only 15% now, still cheaper then getting it local.

thinking of getting a circular saw for cutting laminated chipboard, i assume i need fine teeth for good clean cut?
how much do they generally cost?
if i just use the standard blade if i cut very slow will it do a clean cut?
*
Cut slower sure will result in a cleaner cut...
By refering to amazon, 7 inch saw blade should be less than rm80.
