I want to build a bookcase. Already start building but cutting plywood with a cheap circular saw is really hard to get a straight cut.
*
Due to the smaller size of the table, the table saw maximum can cut 46cm wide only, if you dont build some extension fence.
The tracksaw basically has no limit, and does not take up space when no used.

Both almost the same price around rm2.2k.

Thanks for the help. I also think that track saw will be better for me since I already have miter saw for crosscut.
*
You can call up makita and ask for Makita's track saw.
Maybe it will be cheaper.
http://www.makita.my/products/sp6000-165mm...t-circular-saw/

Triton is Australia brand, our currency is not so favorable to us now.

Another cheaper way is go metal shop buy 5 feet aluminum extrusion as a guide.

You can make a fixture from wood to guide the cut.

Watch the DIY before in youtube. Not difficult.

If just want to make normal bookcase, go Ikea buy Billy bookcase seems more reasonable. tongue.gif

But cordless would be heavier with the batteries right?
Depends on which one you use.
Bosch has a compact rotary hammer, with 2AH battery it weights about 1.7 kg.
Model is GBH18V-Li Compact. This model does not have chiseling function.

For drilling holes on high places this is good.

Thanks for the info
Went to Mr diy yesterday
The boyai no stock
I saw the also have a cordless drill but no price in system yet
Wonder if it's any good
Looking for something cordless as well to do some lazy sanding off kitchen cabinets and grille before painting them, and use as a screwdriver powerful enough for most wood and plastics without pilot holes
*
Any brand cordless drill driver would suffice if you dont plan to drill in the wall.
Its better to drill a pilot hole with drill bit + countersink to avoid cracking the wood/plastic when you screwing in countersink screw.

http://www.wolfcraft.com/en/products/p/gui.../s/p/index.html
Does not include circular saw.

1 yr late reply, where did u get the l-boxx 238 for that cheap? i paid 136 more than that.

I think last time he did use 11street VIP grade coupon code and those 40% discount voucher.
This was during last year when Malaysian online retailers were having voucher war.

Doubt it will happen again this year coz seems like lazada is the winner.

Make a vacuum cyclone mobile cart this afternoon.
Combine vaccum and cyclone unit in a tower saves precious space in my work room.
Later will add more storage space on the vaccum cart to store all those vaccum accessories.
Put all vacuum hose accessories together in a cart make it easier to find them when I need it.

Comparing the size between vaccum cyclone and dust collector cyclone.
4 inch dust collector hose vs 1.25 inch vacuum hose.

Karcher now serves as household vacuum, sucks much better than the 15 years old panasonic.
However I still uses the karcher when I am using the belt sander because karcher has much higher airflow and suction power compare to skill vacuum.Karcher is so powerful till it collapse my cyclone bucket. dry.gif
For other handheld power tool (planer) & normal cleaning job, the skil is sufficient, and it doesnt collapse the vacuum bucket.

Karcher - 150CFM air flow, 25kpa suction, 1400 watt power consumption
Skill - 100CFM air flow, 16kpa suction, 1500watt power consumption
If convert to air watt, karcher is about 70% more powerful and more power saving than skill.

Regarding preferences between DC & vacuum, I would say it depends on the tool you want to suck dust from.

I prefer DC as its a lot more quiet compare to vacuums. The DC runs at 70db while vacuum can go between 75db - 82db.
The large airflow also can capture a lot of floating dusts in are around the machine.
I use DC for my dust collection job on machines like table saw, bandsaw, planer. They have 4" or 2.5" duct collection build in for it. Router table & benchtop sander will be next.
DC's power will reduce a lot if you connect it to very small hose like 1.25 inch and below. For this situation I will have to use vacuum instead. Example : handheld powertool, scroll saw, miter saw.
Also I use vacuum to sweep the floor.

Btw, anyone interested to buy my karcher vacuum NT 35/1 Tact for rm1k?
I will get karcher T15/1 to try next if can be sold.

Any difference T15/1? Why want to sell? I'd love to dream about a NT 35/1 Tact TE with auto start for powertools but it is no where to be found and not to mention too expensive...
*
After making the cyclone I don't really need the NT35's large bin size & auto cleaning function.
T15 is also making less noise.

From Karcher's web site:
T15/1, 60dbA
NT35/1, 69DBA

Ya wor...i usually brush and blow it off ( using normal blower ). Only once a while i took out the blade and brush it under a running pipe water and wipe or clean with cloth....so far so good.
*
Oh... so running water is good enough already. Good to know.
I was thinking of using dishwasher liquid or Fab but scare it might rust the blade hahaha.

I read online and see USA people using simple green to soak the blade.
I'm surprise to see simple green available in lazada locally. blink.gif
