Wah bro, where's the karcher? Does the skil works well? Comparing the DC and vacuum which one sees use more or which one you prefer more?
Karcher now serves as household vacuum, sucks much better than the 15 years old panasonic.
However I still uses the karcher when I am using the belt sander because karcher has much higher airflow and suction power compare to skill vacuum.Karcher is so powerful till it collapse my cyclone bucket.
For other handheld power tool (planer) & normal cleaning job, the skil is sufficient, and it doesnt collapse the vacuum bucket.
Karcher - 150CFM air flow, 25kpa suction, 1400 watt power consumption
Skill - 100CFM air flow, 16kpa suction, 1500watt power consumption
If convert to air watt, karcher is about 70% more powerful and more power saving than skill.
Regarding preferences between DC & vacuum, I would say it depends on the tool you want to suck dust from.
I prefer DC as its a lot more quiet compare to vacuums. The DC runs at 70db while vacuum can go between 75db - 82db.
The large airflow also can capture a lot of floating dusts in are around the machine.
I use DC for my dust collection job on machines like table saw, bandsaw, planer. They have 4" or 2.5" duct collection build in for it. Router table & benchtop sander will be next.
DC's power will reduce a lot if you connect it to very small hose like 1.25 inch and below. For this situation I will have to use vacuum instead. Example : handheld powertool, scroll saw, miter saw.
Also I use vacuum to sweep the floor.
Btw, anyone interested to buy my karcher vacuum NT 35/1 Tact for rm1k?
I will get karcher T15/1 to try next if can be sold.
