Wanna ask about MSOS.

What's the difference between these 2:

1. Enrolling your cards in the MSOS

2. MSOS Code sent to mobile phones.

So online shopping at participating merchants will make you type your SecureCode/Verify by Visa passwords and then you'll have to enter MSOS codes sent to the phone as well?

if call oso still need to go their branch to make application right? so no point lo call

been trying to apply for this card(s), twice. once at branch n another at 1u roadshow. both oso same case received letter says that cant help me at the moment. mmm, my mthly salary is well above 2k with no debt or loan. dunno wat im doing wrong tho.

i can use the TP to offset all 4 cards GST rite? so no problems as we will hav much TP as we intends only use this and ditch our other cards  as currently she is using supp cards from my principal ac's too

This understanding is not quite correct. Some amount is only held for transactions at the pump because there is no way to tell in advance the purchase amount. The amount also differs for different banks and petrol retailers. Transactions at the counter for a specific amount is treated exactly like any other retail transaction.

I should ask you to quote source but then you might ask the same of me. 

The next time you swipe at the pump, quite a lot of pumps will display the maximum amount allowed for the transaction at the display where they used to be able to press amounts manually. If you come across such a pump, observe the amount and you will see it's usually not RM200 and will typically change if you use cards from different issuers.

If I already have an OCBC Titanium Card (which I applied using FD a year ago) with a credit limit of RM5000, will i be able to apply for this Maybank 2 card by just using my OCBC card?

My payment record for my OCBC all this while quite good which mean no delay in payment and always on time.

Any advice?

The Starbucks 10% offer I got is from April this year where I didn't use the card for the first 2 weeks after obtaining it. They sent a postcard saying that if I use RM 50 and above within X number of days, I will get the voucher. This is like 6 months ago

Check the exchange rate different. You may lose the exchange rate conversion cause Paypal gives pretty low conversion rate from USD back to MYR. The rate I usually get is 0.1 lower than what they advertised on XE.com.

plan to get myself the maybank 2 card.. seem like platinum card offer much better benefit compare to gold.. does the platinum card has any cons compare to gold? like higher annual fees/min swipe per month/etc?

can i know whether the annual fees and GST can be waived for it? thanks.

Just remember that cash rebate has been credited yesterday, quickly went and checked before Maybank is down for its daily 1 hour maintenance. RM 14.14. Still better than none, I didn't get any rebate for months already.

1. Seems to me the best benefit is the 5x TP when using the Amex card. So of course the idea is to use the Amex as much as possible. Is this 5x TP applicable with any spending, incl petrol, utilities autopay, etc?

2. Next benefit is the 5% Weekend cash back when spend on Maybankard 2 American Express Card capped at RM50 per customer per month. Is this applicable with any purchase at any store? In Malaysia only or also includes overseas/internet transactions? This 5% weekend cash back is on top of the usual 5x TP right?

who knows SOGO can use AMEX or not??

For the past week, I have 2 unauthorised transactions charged to my AMEX card. One RM 827 from AirAsia that was posted when I checked M2U online transaction. The other one was alerted by the CS that one RM 31,000 online transaction from Netherlands was made. The second one was not posted. Immediately my card was suspended and was asked to collect the replacement card 2 days later. I was shocked as 31K is a very big amount, almost max out my CL. Been using credit cards for so many years and have yet to face such fraudulent transaction.

I was asked to submit my dispute form for the first transaction only after I received the statement and that would only be at the end of this month. My question is would this be too late?

I had called AMEX CS just now as I want to pay ACCA annual fees online. The CS said that just need to call 1 time only to update our mobile phone no so that they can call us if there is any suspicious transaction. Don't need to call them every time doing online transaction. 

Oh? Thats news, I always thought the Convenience fee is RM8 per pax per way for any credit card.

How come Maybank dint tell AMEX user in advance? Is it AMEX CS to call when we need to do online transaction?

Just to share, I booked flight ticket from MAS online website last weekend. Paid using MBB-2-Amex. No calls, nothing. Check today at M2u online, transaction went through.


Maybe this is true, as I've done online transactions previously with this MBB-2-Amex
