is it possible to apply maybankard through phone? I didn't see any maybank at shopping center and too busy to visit the bank >.<
*
You must so so busy that you don't even read the 1st post. There are numerous ways to apply for the card. Just call Customer Service if you are a current Maybank cardholder.

I might want to go and apply for increase of credit limit soon cause I want to take advantage of the 12 months 0% balance transfer. It has already been 6 months since I got the cards.

But my EA and BE form figures are different by quite a huge amount. I applied my card using my pay slip only, lets say 30K. EA form also shows 30K. However, lets say I rob people as my part time job at night and I had declared it in my BE form April this year making it to say to 50K.

So am I eligible for credit limit based on 50K income or just 30K from the salary slip?
*
I would think that the banks would consider BE Form. The application form states Income not Salary right.

When should we redeem the gst using tp? Before or after it appear on our statement?
Is the gst based on calender year or our card issued month?
*
GST is charged on the anniversary month e.g 1 year after card issued. Some banks allow you to redeem the points before it i shown in statement but you can always redeem the TP to offset GST after it is shown in the statement.

eh the "EZYPAY 0% for PLATINUM VISA and MASTERCARD and WORLD MASTERCARD", u stated "Maybankard 2 Platinum not included".

but i did received it by mail. now i only have maybankard 2 amex & mc plat. if mbk2 plat not included, why i'm receiving it?

the t&c stated "This promotion is open to all Maybankard Visa & MasterCard Credit Cardmembers (except American Express Charge and Credit Card, Corporate Cardmembers, Debit, Visa Debit)".
*
you are right, just read the T&C also, that's for skipping the T&C, haha. In MBB Promo website, click here to see it, it was mentioned the 0% EzyPay Exclusive for MBB Platinum and WorldMasterCard.

Just reread the 1st page of the pdf ad also, it says that additional TP for Plat cards. Thanks for reading my article and highlighting above notworthy.gif

I checked my maybank2u Transaction history, but no rebate (credit column). I`m a new to this card, since mid of Sep-2011.

Where my 5% rebate?  hmm.gif
*
There isn't a rebate column. Go to Accounts --> AMEX 2 --> Transaction History --> and there should be a row for Cash Rebate.

Hi all forumers in this thread,

Got a noob question would like to ask you guys

For this Maybankard 2 Gold card, is this means the owner is owning "2" cards?

what i want to say is, if the owner is having this Maybankard 2 Gold card and also another cc from other banks, does this mean the owner has to cancel either one credit card, since there is a new rule that annual income below rm36000 can only allowed to posses 2 credit cards at the same time
thanks
*
This product considered as 1. To clarify further, you can have as many card as you want from the same bank BUT you can only get credit cards from 2 banks.

QUOTE(kurtkantoi @ Oct 12 2011, 09:15 PM)
Thanks for your example erry. Should post this example in start of the thread for other to refer.  thumbup.gif
*
erry example is to explain extra fee imposed by card issuers (in this case AMEX) when we transact overseas to you guys BUT not necessary the admin fee will be 2.5% for AMEX cards, it can be higher or even lower. And that's why WaCKy-Angel mentioned the exchange rate could be more than what we get back with 5X TP. I don't think it is good to post this example because some of you guys may think that the fee is fixed at 2.5% ( that's what the T&C stated ). For example, I did 3 transactions in USA with my AMEX at the same merchant minutes apart, I was charged fees of 1.57% to 2.53%.

Please go to this thread to learn more about International Transactions. Do note Miles have stated AMEX card fee is 0.5% + 2.5%.

And most seniors here will tell you this, for personal use, we will use MBB Visa or MC to pay less upfront unless we can get the 5% with our MBB 2 AMEX on weekends. And to note some have reported they did not get 5% cash back for online transactions on weekends.

fruitie: great that you got 5% cash back for pay pal with MBB 2 AMEX. Please share it in this thread.

I wonder if its possible to BT from Maybank to Maybank?  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
Yes, Maybank have been offering this BT for quite some time where you can convert your outstanding balance to 24 or 36 months installment. Refer link given by erry. To note that the effective interest rate is 8.41% and 9.22% for 24 and 36 months installments.

You have another option that has shorter term repayment period. Apply for EzyCash where you have to pay upfront fee of 3.88% and the "loan" amount will be "interest free" with 6 equal installment. Click here to read my article on Maybank Credit Card Promotion where I touched on it briefly and gerrardling gave the link to the T&C at General CC Thread.

QUOTE(zenquix @ Oct 18 2011, 05:08 PM)
Actually the 5x takes into account the admin fee you already paid.

so $23 = RM68.375

+ 2.5% admin fee = RM70.0766875

- 5x TP (assume intrinsic value of 2.5%) = RM68.3247703125

However you need to note :
- you only gain the 2.5% if you redeem your treapoints at 0.5 sen to a treatpoint. There are redemptions that are more, there are redemptions that are less
- with the Amex admin charge, you are actually 'buying' your points at a discount... you save 0.05 sen in the transaction above (coz the value of the treatpoints you earned you have already paid for via the Amex admin charge) i.e. you get RM10 worth of points by paying RM9.95 upfront
*
Just to add, putting the 5% cash back aside, for those using MBB2 AMEX (for non company expenses), you'll be better off using MBB 2 Visa or MC and pay less upfront.

I have a question smile.gif If I have the normal Maybank Platinum and AMEX, can I get it changed to Maybank 2 Platinum/AMEX?
*
Yes but not really change. You can apply for the Maybankard 2 Cards (see first post, you can download form or even apply via email or just go to 1U or KLCC and get the card in 1-2 hours) and it sure will be approved since the Credit Limit will be shared with your Maybank Platinum CC. After you get the Maybankard 2 Cards, call up CS and cancel whatever card you want and transfer whatever Treats Points you have to your new Maybankard 2 Account. As for AMEX AMEX it is a separate card by itself so use up your MR before you cancel.

Thanks dude. I'm relief now. Going to sign up for
MBB card when I have the chance. I spent 10K a week ago and got like 10k reward points for HSBC card. Can't even redeem RM 50 tesco voucher. If I were to charge that to Amex card and get 5x treats points, with 50k treat points, I could have redeem RM 200 telco or Jusco and still have some balance treat points.
*
and if you had spent it on a weekend, you would get another RM50 smile.gif

the staff told me each m2u account only for each card.
i applied m2u for each card in atm.

firstly i activate the amex  but fail.
then i try the master card and successful.
now i only can view the mastercard in the m2u.

is this proper way to do it ?
*
I guess the person that did the M2U account thingy for you must have not linked your AMEX card. Go back to the branch or maybe even go to another branch. Not all staff knows how to set up M2U account for MBB 2 Cards.

I don't have a savings or current account with MBB but upon log in, all my 4 cards are shown in the account.

Click here to read my article M2U for MBB CC - You Don't Need A MBB Savings Account.

has anyone here tried to make full statement balance payment to only one of the cards instead of separately into each of the cards

will mbb adjust the payment automatically?
*
Yah, big hassle for me since I have 8 accounts with them which also makes the statement hard to read. For supp cards yes,

Somehow MBB Cheque Deposit Machine is not so friendly compared to other banks' machine e.g. CIMB can key in up to 5 different account for a single cheque.

No MBB won't adjust the payment automatically for Principal Accounts. Recently I accidentally paid to the wrong account (as I said, damn confusing MBB Paper Statement having 8 accounts incl 4 supps) and after 2 days had to call CS to manuallt transfer the funds to the correct account.

Well, we all know that the the person who "insulted" you is not as smart as you because we earn something from using our cards biggrin.gif

For my case if can charge RM10 or less also use CC, e.g at KFC hahaha

This situation is actually quite easy to solve. Reduce the limit of your Ikhwan card and you'll be able to increase your M2 limit.

Thank you for replying to his post on CL because it made me reread that MBB 2 Gold CL is RM2K!

then it makes sense, most cards nowadays offer some kind of incentive to encourage one to sign up BUT for HSBC don't hope for second year onwards. As for MBB 2 Cards, no one has reported for a long time that they got GST waived, initially MBB did sent out invitation to some selected customers offering 10,000 points to offset GST.
