actually all your contacts are already synced to your Hotmail account of the Live ID you're using. When you get your iPhone, just add the Hotmail account as a data source to sync it, exactly how I can't remember.

Anyone able to access the new HTML5 Facebook webpage?

I tried m.facebook.com, and it only shows the plain old version.

I tried touch.facebook.com with mobile version preference, only facebook logo on it.

I tried touch.facebook.com with desktop version preference, can see stuff, but nothing happens when I touch at links. And the interface doesn't look like the new HTML5 site.

Tried.

Still the same, the 'check for update' just stays there.

www.facebook.com in desktop version brings me to the normal Facebook page I'd find in Windows PCs. I was talking about the new mobile HTML5 site, any idea?

Without the use of flash. TO make it simple, similar to javascript.
Everything is coded in the "new" kind of html and the emergence of webm codec instead of mp4 container. That's why you can now watch youtube embeds.

It can do everything that a flash can do & more without the added bulk and bloat. That's why iOS opt out flash. To have less problems and battery life is immensely saved.
Check out a few html5 sites and try it on your phone. smile.gif

http://www.tomsguide.com/us/Facebook-Platf...news-12831.html

I tried it on my laptop (m.facebook.com)

But according to: http://www.neowin.net/news/html5-facebook-...obile-goes-live

You can access it right now via (http://touch.facebook.com)
I confirmed it works for us.

Rejoice. biggrin.gif

A bit buggy. unsure.gif

Simple explanation is, modernizing and standardizing the web for the future. Of course everyone is still arguing on who's standard to follow.

Added on October 12, 2011, 1:47 amBTW, I can use http://touch.facebook.com just fine.. Hmmm.. spiffy interface.. Oh.. note that you MUST have Mango installed before you can use this.

Also if all you see on the top are the 4 icons, and nothing else, hit the refresh button in the address bar and if that kicks it to work or not.

Too bad the buttons up top doesn't render on Mango IE9.

Everything looks a lot smoother on PC via touch.facebook.com & prolly Android webkit.

As for Mozart battery life, I disable background running of HTC weather hub and uses EDGE whenever I don't do anything demanding.
Can last me 15 hours on marginal usage. Prolly a 1 1/2 day with light usage.
