Well, I'm wondering wheter to do it on my LG considering that are some people who are reporting the problems with internet explorer after update.

I'll give it a few days before attempting the force update.

Phew, manage to update the version to mango finally !
alright, for those people who constantly receive this message
"Cant check for updates right now" , you can opt to use a different computer to update to mango. I'm not sure why the error "Cant check for updates right now" pops out whenever i click for update. I've just switched to another computer to update and everything goes fine with the force update. Wait for 6.5 seconds instead of 2-3.

How come my Facebook chat and msn chat on the text sometimes they work, sometimes it says "can't connect to chat" do I really have to delete my Facebook account to fix that?
and the whatsapp push notification doesn't work after the phone is screen out for a few minutes.

yup ... better wait lah then sorry .... my friend updated his and seems like data connection doesnt work just email work ... others dont

You both on LG optimus 7? I'm using one, mangofied and yeah got some problems..

At first, the internet connection just went out when using data connection (wifi ok). After some fiddling, I need to manually add apn in the cellular section in settings. Right after inputting it, my internet is back again and is kicking mango ass. I don't know if it relates to any of you, but my phone is from LG Optimus 7 Starhub, running on Celcom.. i just put up the celcom3g as the apn name.

So far, not running any issues with internet explorer, except related to the above problem at first. My verdict : i love my optimus 7 now with mango

for new mango, nvr see it yet .

Tips: for those ppl who get error for FB Chat, you dont have to remove FB. all you need to do is go to Settings -> email+accounts. tap and hold Facebook, then press SYNC. it works for me.

Anyone of you using unifi and unable to setup a wireless connection with unifi? I can detect streamyx but not unifi.

No problem for me. Try re-booting your router and see.

Mine is a Singtel Optimus. So you needed to manually set the APN is it? interesting.. well we'll see, I know Maxis's gateway does some interesting things with their Broadband so it works on ANY APN, so maybe same with phone?

mine is Celcom's LG Optimus...but still need to set APN since b4 NoDO to get broadband.

Though I am already unpatient enough to get Mango...Its better to wait till the problem with LG firmware update clears up.

Guys, note that when you force updates, remember to turn on flight mode and turn off WiFi on your phone. You need to kill ALL remote communications!

SSL connection is on ... still cant download attachment from my off exchange server

updated my optimus 7 (singtel on celcom)

force update went smoothly but sideload apps are no longer working, (advance Config and TouchXperience).

anyone knows how to get these working again??

also u guys that have optimus 7 what is your firmware after update? does the firmware get any update?

I'm quite a social integrated person and I have to say, Wp7 killed it dead on!

What other things I need to check other than threads, social integration, video (can now resize, scroll), but I thought the lock screen can change to album art? I don't have it.

All in all, it's more user friendly. Not going to regret buying this phone.
