I've updated my HTC Mozart firmware to 2250.21.51001.707 (why am I taiwan region?)

I notice no Internet Sharing in the settings? Where's my wifi hotspot?

Also just updated FB app. I don't notice any visible changes at all. No changelog in their official page either sleep.gif What kinda update is this?
*
there are 5 ASIA ROM available ROM for mozart
HTC_Asia_WWE - code 707
HTC_Asia_TW - code 709
HTC_Asia_HK_CHT code -708
HTC_Asia_India - code 720
HTC_Asia_SEA_WWE - code 728

a pure Taiwan ROM is 709 not 707.

707 is a common ROM where most of the country in ASIA distributed. this ROM contain most of the language inside including TW, HK_CHT, INDIA and some SEA language

728 is mainly distributed at South East Asia Country. this ROM might lauck of certain language in preset.

that's the reason why Mozart User in India are able to update to latest HTC Driver with internet wifi tethering because they code is 720 and which will be that code are allow.

if you have other code that is not 720. you will not get wifi internet tethering even you updated yours the latest. just wait. it will be coming. dont worry.

by looking at your case. u have on 7720(mango) but your firmware version still 2250.09.12803.707 that is the problem. it's not suppose to be that.

are you chevron unlock and update ya mango from RTM or ISV?

u should've checked everything before accepting... but u could try going back to the shop and demand for a charger which has a SiS hologram and wait for their response..

u are right on the slower charge will prolong a battery life, but how sure are u that the AP charger is giving u a stable output current as intended by HTC?
*
Just now i ask the seller. He said the HTC charger is still an original one altho dnt have SIS sticker, sure no problem. He also said slower charge can prolong battery lifespan(I think he is trying to comfort me...haha)

thanks fulat for the info

I've investigated the FB app update a bit further; you can pin the 'news feed' and 'messages' to the start screen. Pinning 'messages' should be quite useful since you don't see those in the messaging and email hubs.

Also, there's no more 'are you sure you want to exit?' prompt when tapping the back button to exit the app.

And I'm a bit impatient for the internet sharing because that's my only form of internet at home, and my laptop is pretty worthless without internet access sleep.gif

The ONLY way that I know of to surf group in Facebook, is via a stupid, ugly, touch unfriendly Facebook mobile that's supposed to be used by some Sony Ericsson dumb phones.

Are there any alternatives? Because this one is pretty dumb.

Overall, the update brought the much needed speed improvements. Other than that, nothing to shout about. Still will not use it for whatever purpose.

I just use the built in Internet Explorer to surf facebook, faster, smoother and more function. I also bookmark it as Favourite for faster access.

oh yeah... u are as smart as i am. no hassel with IE in mobile version. fast and never miss any function compare with desktop.

if you want the facebook chat. just change your IE to Desktop version in Setting then u will be able to see the same FB site like u do on desktop. but doing that u wont be able to place youtube files linked to FB.

so for me... fark the FIM and i prefer the youtube watch at my IE.

Wonder how hard it could be for Microsoft to implement Facebook groups. After all Microsoft owns a share in Facebook. Sheesh.

Problem is, if you use Facebook on IE9, it's SUPER touch-unfriendly. Even with a 4.3" screen, I find it hard to aim for a link without bringing the phone nearer to me. That's just ridiculous. Even the touch.facebook is not working properly so that's a no-go.

It's a pain in the ass when I want to check on my groups, since I coordinate my school projects using 'em.

Microsoft really needs to step-up their game and update the FB app to include all these functionality instead of releasing useless apps that other people can do better like MSN Movies.

touch.facebook.com has the potential to be great (much like m.youtube.com), but it barely works. Dunno who's fault is it. But whoever they are, they shud get it fixed, fast! Does it work fine on iPhone/Android(though they have a good dedicated Facebook app) ??
