Anyone know how often the issues will arrive in local bookstores? Once a week or something? I'm very tempted to start, but wouldn't want to miss an issue...

It should be once a week. Some store may re-stock the latest issue 1-2 days late. Try to look for it at multiple stores. smile.gif

If you wouldn't want to miss any issue, subscription is the best way to go. Give them a call. nod.gif

If not because of the free gift I wouldnt subscribe loh! becos of their efficiency as Ive been to their office, haih. I rather hunt/reserve it from shopping mall. Another thing is the reliabiiity and the way our local postage service handle parcel. Haih

So I already subscribed when they first launched their first 4 issues last year so I wonder if I need to subscribe again this time and so I called them yesterday.

And I was told that in order to get the free gift I need to subscribe from issue 5 till issue 8(since I already got 4 issues). So I email them my latest credit card details. But the email turned out invalid. Called again, gave me another email, also invalid one. Haih... So? By that time already 5 plus and I busy closing my work liao.

Gonna call again on monday.

I admit, the model parts look intimidating, and nice too! Luckily I asked the seller about the incoming issues and price. I wouldn't mind if it takes about 8-10 issues to complete, but up to 60/70 plus plus, it won't make sense. Last time we used to have a magazine with plane model as their free gift, and they got stopped, but i heard the subscribers got all their subscriptions copies.

cannot trust news stands...better to ask big shops like Popular or MPH.

Allscript is basically waiting for the caps before they send out their...our magazines. And based on this, our 2nd freebie will come with issue 9-13 and the mini steering wheel will come with another batch of magazines. Though I'm sure they need to wait for the goods to arrive before sending them out. I just made my subscription yesterday...a bit late...hopefully they don't run out of freebies tongue.gif

Yup2. Better to check with major news stand like Popular better.. Those parts are indeed solid and convincing. I had a chance to look at 2nd issue yesterday, it comes with your first tire. The tire sure is big.... sweat.gif I thought as big as 50cents coin only... laugh.gif

maybe...hopefully none of these parts get broken (touch wood) when fixing them together. Actually I was thinking of buying extra copies of the front wing just for display tongue.gif but there are just too many issues for the front wing alone

I haven't opened by set yet. Hehe. I guess for an official replica, quality should be in their top priority. laugh.gif

please keep ONLY discussion about the Magazine in here and NOT discussing about your other F1 collection in this thread...

theres already an existing F1 thread to show off your other F1 collection....

i will remove those unrelated to the "Build Your Own McLaren" Magazine talks after this

thanks
