1. D700 then... 10k is definitely out of my range ....  even if it comes out now... i will have to wait for a couple of years for the price to drop.. sweat.gif

2. 12MP is enuff..  blush.gif i think the largest my pics will be displayed is on my 24" monitor as wall paper ... don plan to print posters...  tongue.gif

3. Yeap.. the D700 is an awesome body... it sud go wif the best lens... i am leaning towards 24-70 becoz of bigger aperture n better speed... since my camera is used for traveling mostly, so if can i  wanna bring along juz one lens... the D700 + 24-70 lens + bag is already around 2.5kg  sweat.gif
prime lens will be the 2nd lens to get once my wallet recovers.. the 50mm f1.4G looks good smile.gif
*
If im you i might carry a 16-35 f4 vr , and 50mm prime for travelling only.
Also depends where you travel smile.gif

Perhaps that is the interchangeable sensor design that Nikon patented? It would be cool that you can change sensor in one body to suite different occasions.
Perhaps he wants something like the 1/12000 s shutter spec of the Minolta Maxxum 9.  shocking.gif
*
maybe the 1/16000" frm 1D flex.gif

celciuz sifoo,
would u recommend 50mm f1.8g or flashgun as the first buy?

or should i keep collecting until able to buy flashgun first? i am currently taking photography courses this semester and there would be a portrait assignment coming around the corner.

the current budget were rm700.. or maybe should i get a decent bag + light reflector first? the current bag were capalang bag = =

I wanted to know the differences for technical knowledge, but not trying to compare as for what you thought of. For example some of Nikon's pro grades have Nano-coat, do Canon or Sony have anything equivalent to Nano-coat performance?

Something similar like Honda, Toyota and Mitsubishi have VTEC, VVTI and MIVEC technology respectively.

Therefore, anyone care to share the knowledge for lens comparison?
*
canon using infamous super spectra coating , there are no naming on the lens whereas nikon label it as N.

UD = Canon, ED = Nikon

Fluorite = Canon, Super ED = Nikon

err what else... laugh.gif

Every sifus, can I ask how much does a 4 years old Nikon 17-55mm F/2.8 worth? I got a seller that willing to sell at AUD875=RM2,730.

Is the price ok price for its age? No more warranty.
