D70s will change after 1 years i buy the FF lens 
now just wonder the lens weight, handling, and soft in wide open in certain distant bla bla bla..

been using this lens for a month now... so far quite satisfied with it...

overall sharpness is good from 24 to 70mm... corner corner sikit la...

solid bulit... when turning the zoom & focus rings i can feel that it is fitted just nicely to the lens...

maybe at f2.8 it will suffer at low light wif ur d70... but since u buying D700/D800 soon... it will solve itself in the future

f1.4 is 4 stops away but remember u can shoot at ISO3200 in a D700 wif lil problem

but it is hefty lor... the D700 wif this lens is 2kg so u ask urself wanna bring this on vacation or not 

plus no VR...  ... so ur hand better be dam steady when holding this beast...

summary for me this is an excellent jack of all trades lens

is 24-70mm is metal built while 24mm f/1.4 is plastic?

6k ++ pay for f/1.4 and fast focus prime lens?

i still duno how fast the focus of this 2 lens...and if can compare with 35mm f/1.8 too.
because i feel 35mm foucs speed okay liao...hmmm 

the 24mm f1.4 body is not made of plastic.
