just received my lens after sending to Nikon service centre for fungus cleaning!

Surprisingly, the price is not expensive at all!

I am using the digital ones, AP-38EX

I once turned the humidity to lower about 35-40% and my 70-200mm gone case. The lube inside dried out causing the SWM motor to be broken, I have sent to repair and cost me RM815 and waiting the parts to come from Japan now

And the fungus ones is my 85mm F1.4

yes, please inspect your lens carefully...don't 100% trust the drybox!

I do not capture the image for the fungus, it's inside the rear lens element and it is very soft, like stain instead of the normal fungus that you have seen on the web.

It does not affect the picture quality at all but I do not like to have a stain aka fungus lens so decided to send in for cleaning and now they cleaned all the element for me and not even a dust is in the lens   happy

my 70-200 is not really AF spoilt

it can focus without any issue but when you grabbed the focusing ring and turn to below 1.5m, it will stuck there and hardly can move, something like slipped gear

But when it is above 1.5m to infinity, it is focusing damn fast without issue

Fixing or not it can still be used but I don't feel like having a not perfect lens

i paid RM150 for the 85mm F1.4 lens cleaning which is damn cheap

Outside shop is around RM200 and they do not have the proper tools to align the lens back

now the 85mm F1.4 is clean and calibrated focus

Hi everyone, i got a D5000 and kit lens 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G.
In Manual Mode, when i zoom, the screen would shows the aperture varying according to the zoom. Before this, i never realize. So far i adjust the aperture by using command dial only (+/- and dial). As before, when i rotate the zoom ring, aperture would not change. Is it i never realize or my camera got faulty already? Anyone can answer me? Thanks.

i got some prob with me cam this morning. my whole cam hang. can shoot but cannot focus, cannot preview, cannot go into menu. but after i took out the BG, everything seems to be working fine. what seems to be the prob?

To be frank, I never use all the AF points. Even D700 has 51 point. I only use 1 only

Even Canon 5D MKII has 9 AF point, but only 1 is used

Maybe I am not good in using the AF...
