You have your point...

But this is what I found out....

Panasonic P50ST50 in Jusco retails at 5099, best price they can offer (during member sale) is the crappy 4999.... if less 10% (and another 10% rebate) have to use retail selling price of 5099, that comes up to RM4130.19 cash... (and this the the best case scenario)...

Best price outside shops... RM3999 cash... in fact I found one shop RM3980 cash with delivery....

Same goes for a Toshiba 9kg washer.... Jusco and HN selling for 1209, Sen Heng 980, others at 920....

You have done your legwork, and calculations... but I am saying that not all shops that offers 0PP is expensive after strong nego....
*
Pls remember, in Jusco, you can still get 3% rebate ont op of the 10% disc and 10% rebate.

So it works out to be very close to outside shops. What's more no need to bargain and worry of getting display sets.

Must be very excited and cannot wait until the next KLIAV fair in 2 weeks time for bargain???
Mind to share where do you get it and how much u are charged for extended warranty i.e. 3-5 years?
rclxm9.gif

I didn't get the extra warranty as I will sign up the +3 years warranty with Panasonic later on.

I got it from Jusco 1-U as they were having J-card members day.

Cash and discounted price? Wonder how to bargain at Jusco
*
I believe if you are dealing with the promoter, it is negotiable.

Last night, there was no discount, but I asked him and he checked with the store manager. So I got the discount. Jusco always accept credit cards even for discounted price. I don't think they expect me to carry RM 9,000 around for shopping.

Wow. Great price. Is it Jusco final price on member day or need to nego? Can you let us know how much is the +3 years warranty? If it is around 1k then it would similar price to BHB road show price.
*
It is negotiable. I didn't ask for the +3 years warranty. Maybe I should have asked and got it for free.

Congrats  rclxms.gif

How much you got it & from where Bro ?  unsure.gif

Tested with the Vierra tools in Android smartphone, seems the Wifi connection not stable  sweat.gif

Got it for around Rm 8350 after discount and rebates from Aeon during J-Card memebr day.

Not sure about the wifi, but it's not urgent for me as i won't be conecting it to the internet any moment soon. Maybe in late future when I get the urge to fiddle about it.

Drats, right now, have to go and buy the right length of screws for my wall mount. Last night, I found out that my old rack screws were either too long or too short. And i've taken down my current TV, so no TV tonitght. vmad.gif

Understand that Jusco did not display unit there and only accept booking if interested.
How long is the warranty period any how many free 3d glasses or other stuff?
How guys at KLIAV 2012 could offer better deal this weekend!!! rclxms.gif
*
Got 1 add pair of 3d glasses and Avatar 3d. it comes with std 2-years warranty. Forgot to ask for free extended warranty.

There are the usual Raya promotion free gifts which are pretty coomon eg. bags, hd cable etc.

Maybe you guys can ask for more freebies during KLIAV show this weekend.

If you haven't wall-mount your tv, you should seriously consider doing it. The viewing is more WOW. After switching from stand to wall-mount, I've been hanging them ever since.

Great. I'll snap a pic and posted it once it's mounted.

Now I can't seem to find the right size of mounting screws . The local hardware shops don't seem to carry such a large size types. cry.gif

Anybody got any suggestions to find M8 size screws?

Finished mounting on Fri nite. Had to cut the screws to the recommended size as I could not find them.

Started to config and test the set yesterday.

First view of the set is that the HD quality is not up to my expectations. The definition is not that sharp and looks like the PQ of a PTV that's 4 generations ago. But to be fair, I'm changing from my old TV set which is the V series and has a very good PQ. Additionally, it was set at default setting before any run-in or calibration. Other than that, I can see the colour is very vibrant. Maybe after the run-in and calibration, the HD PQ will improve. Or maybe I got a defective set. hmm.gif

As for 3D, the pic definitiion is very good and colour is also very deep and vibrant. It is way better than the HD PQ and up to my expectations. But I'm only testing the it from a 2D-3D conversion of movies from Byond and BD as I don't have a 3D player yet. But I can feel that actual 3D will be very good.

Just a side note, the max range from the screen to glasses is only 3.2m.

If color of your speakers match the rest, it will be perfect. Still nice setup and hope eye level placement is your priority.

Saw the Demo unit at KLIAV fair today (offering RM7,500 still no taker) and would say that the picture quality is quite good.
Location has low light and not much reflection noticed.  Could judged based on the Avatar movie shown which I have watched many times.
New sets are offered RM7,999.
*
Wow....only RM 7,999 for new sets. That's very good price. Any takers?

Yes, eye level is the best, but the placement is the lowest I can mount the PTV. I wanted to lower it but then my centre speaker will block the sensors. Also I've to cater some space in case I want to change my speakers in near future.

Not only Dynamic mode, I find True Cinema also sucks.

To get the best PQ, I suggest to get it calibrated.

Unfortunately, no custom mode. The settings can still be adjusted in the 3 modes, Standard, Normal and True Cinema, but cannot be locked.

Friend of mine just bought the P65ST50 (bundled with 2 X 3D glasses) in Seremban at RM7,650 + RM590 for additional 3yrs extended warranty (total 5yrs warranty).

For ethical consideration, name will not be mentioned.

Fantastic deal. I think your friend got the lowest price package here.
