Yeah... need to know this also. My son always watch his favorite movie very near to the screen.
My Plasma: VIERA TH-P42X10K
Is Plasma technology dying? I heard Panasonic going to obsolete Plasma TV soon.
Like Anfieldude said, we need to look at several perspectives when we use the words "dying" technology and "obsolete" TV. My Plasma: VIERA TH-P42X10K
Is Plasma technology dying? I heard Panasonic going to obsolete Plasma TV soon.
IMHO, plasma may have reached it's highest capabilty but does it mean it's dying? It's more fair to say that it has reached it's highest level of achievement. Other newer technolgy has yet to reached that PQ level.
If a plasma TV can consistently produce better displays than other TVs that uses LED and LCD, does it mean it's obsolete?
Case in point is the Pioneer's Kuro which uses Plasma Technology. To-date, there are very few, if any, that can beat it in terms of display PQ.
If that is true, than I'll choose the "dying" and "obsolete" Plasma TV over other TVs with newer technology.
My 2cts worth.
