Have to be careful to use plasma for gaming, it can cause image retention which I experience on my plasma

when i am in the mood for serious viewing and its always during night time, dim all light and never let it shine direct to the TV panel/screen. yellow lighting is most suitable. sit or lay back to enjoy some stunning PQ from plasma tech

it's not 1080p but the UT50 is. I think you can get that for about 2.6-2.8k

Plasma may not be the best idea if only intending to watch Astro, because the static channel logos will cause burn in (the degree of burn in would be dependent on the model)

I have a 50VT20 and there is a very, very faint Astro logo on the bottom right and a mix of AXN and StarWorld logos on the upper left corner of my TV that appear every now and then, and I need to run a pixel flipper overnight to get rid of them on a regular basis.

For only Astro usage, best to consider LCD panels instead.

Just putting up the info here just in case anyone wants it. Personal preference.
