Just came bavk from senq leisure mall. Bought the ST50 for rm3199 with 2x 3d glass n 1xhdmi cable i also asked the SA n she said that it cost rm150 each for any additional 3d glass.

Any difference beside the black level....

I purchased ST50 from Aeon member day sales happily after reading so good review about the unit.

But unfortunately the nightmare begin....

The unit has some Dirty Screen Effect (DSE), which I discover during break in period.  though quite mild but is noticeable.

Call Aeon for exchange (actually they allow to refund too).  I think of asking refund too but thought my luck won't be that bad, so I take the bet.

The 2nd unit came and i notice this unit was even worse than the first unit.  about 40% of the screen is full of DSE.

Beside this, the unit is so easily to get "burn mark" even though i had completed 200 hours of break-in.  Just less than 10 minutes of staying in a channel, you will discover the burn mark such as "HDMI" stays.  Though this can be wipe away by using the scrolling bar, but it really upset me.  Don't tell me the user has to run this process every now and then...

Call the panasonic to complain...

The engineer who came said this is normal as the ST50's constrast is too high at 5,000,000:1.  Oh...my God.

I can sense why the price is dropping drastically.

Thought I can get better unit for ST by topping up few hundred ringgit instead of getting UT, now I really really regret...

Just to share.

I've looked at HN Ikano, Jusco MV and 1U, and I can't seem to find a P42ST50K. The P50ST50K is only 3399 at Jusco but it's too big for my room. If anyone comes across the P42ST50K anywhere around KL for a good price, post here will ya?

65ST better, if you can.  Trust me. 

mine is st50, it is laging also when playing youtube with HD content....  so sad...

by the way, I am using unifi 5MB

The TV WiFi module really having problem and not the Unifi. Tested with same AP and streaming the same content in YouTube : one from ST and another via Sony PS3 

You are right, it is not the bandwidth issues.  I have tested the same content in other devices,... PC and phones, it is just smooth...

Maybe most of us here  are plasma owners our comments are not hear say but our personal experiences ,so u can use them as a yardstick,without hesitation.Once u use plasma, Pana plasma its hard to switch, believe me u wl fall in love with it,I just wish I could afford those high end models! Switch off the lights,play a bluray,enjoy the deep solid colours of plasma!!

Can anybody tell me that the box of ST50 can fit into a saloon car size?

1.The ST60 has active 3D capability while the S60 does not.
2.The ST60 has a very high end panel the Infinite Black Pro, while the S60 has something more basic.
3.The 50ST60 has Smart TV Internet full function, web browser, Swipe and Share function. The S60 has a limited online movie feature rather than Web Connect options and no web browser.
4.Due to the upgraded panel in the ST60 it has 2500 focus field drive for fast motion, while the S60 has the 600Hz subfield drive. Actually, either are fine for fast action in our view.
5.There are 3 HDMI connections in the ST60 and 2 HDMI inputs in the S60.
6.The S60 design is more basic than the ST60
7.There are much better calibration controls and options in the 50ST60 and 55ST60
